I was in Austin, TX sitting down to a little Saturday morning breakfast and picked up the paper to see this Austin Chronicle's ad staring me in the face:

Perry

If they are willing to sink to this level, at least be consistent.  Investigate if there are people who have Obama-Ayers/Wright stories, did cocaine with him, saw his grades in college, have a copy of a paper he wrote, etc.

The media seems far more interested in who Rick has slept with, and considering they are offering cash rewards I bet they have already received more fictitious stories than they know what to do with.

To all the college students out there, I guess this is a reminder to keep your noses clean, because someday people might pay to see how dirty it was.

Note: the contact information includes a gmail address... very professional! Just shows the lack of integrity in journalism these days. I think the media has a right and an obligation to censor their paper from slanderous comments and accusations. Anybody else agree?

It's not the media, but an activist supporter of Ron Paul named Robert Morrow that took out this ad. Ron Paul folks, this is not the way to get people to vote for your guy.

But if your point is that "the media" agreed to run the ad, and/or that there is no media outrage about this, then you are correct.  Their lack of shame is on full display.

Would "the media" have run such an ad digging dirt on Obama?  If it had run, wouldn't it be criticized everywhere as a dreadful example of the (ahem, redundancy alert) "politicization" of politics and of the lack of civility?

This is Craigslist style journalism. But, I think karma will kick in when this guy needs to read through thousands of liberal "Dear Penthouse" style stories about Governor Perry. Should be a great afternoon...

Based on the font I thought it was going to say "Have you ever had sex with a wookie?"

Just for the record, I can truthfully say I have not. I don't even find him attractive. And besides, I like girls...er...excuse me, women.

If you have to defend your manhood... then...

Well, to cut it short, just don't bother.

I would have a little more respect for Ron Paul if he asked this supporter to please not do this on his behalf.
