Heading down to your local watering hole just got more informative.

Lee Doren of "How The World Works" does a great job of equating our tax structure and its misconceptions to a group of friends grabbing a few pints. Maybe you've heard of "Bar Stool Economics" before, but it's worth revisiting and the visual component of the video helps too. Cheers!

Thanks for posting this- I've seen it before, like all of Lee's videos, but it'll be interesting to see a discussion here. By the way, what is this "bar" that you speak of?

Lee does a great job of explaining conservative principles in a hostile environment- YouTube! He is always talking about Thomas Sowell's books, and like Sowell himself, Lee can break down complex issues into layman's terms. And he can easily debunk liberal studies and speeches that are made for educational purposes.

And if Warren Buffet went drinking with them, he'd tell the bartender, "Quit coddling me.  We don't want a discount.  The best way to help my friends out in these trying times is to keep their bill the same and charge me more!"

Great video. Just because the wealthiest among us benefit the most doesn't mean that tax cuts are designed to benefit the rich. Margaret Thatcher once said of her Labour friends that they'd prefer to have everyone worse off so long as the gap between rich and poor is smaller than have everyone better off and a wider income gap.

Woah. I mean this is all stuff about taxes that you know cerebrally, but it is made far more poignant with the illustration. Thanks for posting this; I'm going to be forwarding it to many, many people.
