Carol Costello, CNN’s Vicious Misogynist

Carol Costello is some kind of talking head at CNN. The open glee she exhibits upon playing tape of a women being beaten up has to be seen to be believed.

Watch the above video from this Washington Examiner link to see what I mean.

Carol Costello thinks she is demonstrating moral superiority. She is really demonstrating the depths of her own depravity. I rarely use the term evil to describe political enemies (unless they are foreign dictators, like Vladimir Putin or Pol Pot), but the use of that adjective here is entirely justified:

Carol Costello is evil.

My goodness, what has our nation sunk to?  This is just bizarre–gloating over an assault.

Why on earth does CNN zoom in on Britsol’s (Willow’s?) legs at 0:17?

I think it’s to show swelling on her left knee.  Not sure.

This is another facet of the license given by the left establishment to destroy the Palins.  No matter how sorry (and perhaps genuinely so) Costello appears in the predictable aftermath of this, she will pay no serious price.

In part this is because the right establishment has demonstrated that it will never help Palin.  With anything.

I think Soopermexican demonstrated on his blog site that Costello excoriated Fox News for making Ray Rice jokes, and now she’s laughing at this.

If anything, it just demonstrates they only care about certain issues when it serves their purpose.

Quite apart from Costello’s repulsive attitude, the presentation itself is thoroughly dishonest.

Bristol Palin’s account of the events makes clear that most of the bleeped sections were when she was repeating the foul language that had been directed at her.

And since when is some thug pushing a girl to the ground properly described as a “brawl”?

My god that is unbelievable that describing an assault is the best piece of audio that “bleep” has ever heard!  Now I know why twitter has been racking this classless hack over the coals all day.

    I know it’s been said a million times, but…

Replace Bristol with Sasha, Malia, Chelsea. Still funny? Would right-wind media regard this as delicious?

When and if our society collapses, Ms. Costello is certainly on my list.  It grows longer each and every day really.

Having just watched it I still don’t believe it. What in the world…?? Outrageous, what is the matter with that woman? Raised by wolves or some such?

One viscous, creepy, evil, b(CoC). One of the few times in my life I’d actually like to slap the tar out of someone. I am so glad I don’t have a TV or cable.

One should take comfort from the fact that more people have seen this as a video link posted in this Ricochet® Member Feed entry than saw it when it was originally broadcast on CNN.

Like I said, the banality of evil in America today.

Not all liberals engage in this tribalism that places cultural/political allies and enemies on separate moral planes. But many, if not most, do (though they typically do not recognize this inconsistency in themselves).

A generation ago, such horrible things were uttered in private conversations and rebuked in polite company. Today, they are said in public and without shame every single day. TV broadcasting is full of it. People like Bill Maher and Chris Matthews have built careers on it.

The next step? Saying face-to-face the horrible things they say in general reference to politics and society. Doing harm to their opponents in person as they have deliberately abused conservatives through politics all along. If you look for it, you can already notice this shift from political hatred to personal hatred.

Western culture is on a dangerous trajectory. The consequences will not be limited to politics.

Gosh, what did wolves ever do to deserve such an insult?  If this troll had been raised by wolves, she would have been much more civil, and perhaps founded an empire that the world would still be talking about two thousand years hence . . . .

Jonah Goldberg just roundly condemned Carol Costello on Special Report, labeling her as his “loser of the week.” (“Losers and Winners” is a Friday segment on Special Report, if you’re not aware.)
