A very silly post:
Uberfem – a terrific group effort from multiple writers.
Lest we forget:
Divorce is Hell
And even more silliness:
Mortuary Habits of the Weird
Mike R’s Christmas post:

The Giraffe Saga:

anonymous’s book reviews. This was one of my favorites:

Any of Kelsuprise’s notes from New York. This was a good one early in the year:

I don’t know what she called it, but it was the post that Claire B. wrote about the healthcare system I think in India – how well it worked and how it could work here or parts of it – she also included the story when she lost her nose and ended up in the Indian medical system – so first hand experience – one of the funniest and most interesting things I read on Ricochet!
Also (last one, I promise) – Any of iWe’s Torah posts.
And Spengler’s own posts on buying your first gun:
http://ricochet.com/archives/what-i-learned-on-my-way-to-the-gun-store/
Dear S of S: I’ve been reading back through a long conversation a bunch of us had on gun control in March. I am—again!—struck by how generous and patient y’all were with me. I think that conversation is Exhibit A for my contention that it is possible to bridge the partisan divide even when it comes to a vexed issue, by hashing it out in good faith.
By “fruitfully” I don’t mean that we fixed anything. American politics and policy vis-a-vis guns remains vexed. On the other hand, I am now convinced that if all of us were locked up in a room after breakfast and told we had to come up with at least a few solutions, we’d have it done by lunchtime… though we might keep yakking until supper, just because it’s fun.
McVey’s radio dramas
King Prawn’s series on criminal justice, plea bargains, etc. was a very strong.
We should also consider that one post, I can’t recall who wrote it, about some guy named Trump? Do I have the name spelled correct T-R-U-M-P?
I think it was tRump?
Yes, those three guys should really get some kind of medal for those
storiestrue-life accounts. No, you have to have dementia or something to spell a word like that. I think it was Trump, but it was a while back, not many people commented on it. Just can’t recall when last I saw that post.
Rashomon does Ricochet? Yeah, there was something to it-
The Nashville Mega Meetup was so awesome that there were three post-meetup reports filed. It’s fun to re-read them, so here they are.
By Troy Senik
By Amy Schley
By Vicryl Contessa
Maybe it was trUmP? Could it have been T®üµπ?
Then there was some post by some guy named Jamal? Something about nekkid ranchers? Can’t seem to find it…
I am advised some nice people say they’re from the gov’t & they’re gonna be around to help you-
< Cont…>
<Snip…>
No, that wasn’t it either.
(cont)
I just remember it was nicely written and not many people seemed to have strong feelings.

Oh well, it will come to me later.
I would like to recommend the funny stuff, but who am I kidding? It’s the reach-for-a-stiff-drink stuff that comes to mind just now. Any of Mr. Ryan M’s posts about the people he meets on his job! I’l just put up the most recent one, A refuge, because I can’t really pay for all these drinks…
Skip’s post on Christmas was an honest to God right hook to the jaw-
Mr. Rudert’s post Maybe I do Want a Russian Mail-Order Bride.
Herr Rudert is really going to make a splash one day–all over the front pages across the fruited plains-
Frank’s post on women misunderstanding the male sex drive was one for the ages.
Thanks, Skipsul. Just read your divorce post and many of the very brave and moving comments. It was good to see DocJay’s name (and comments) again, too.
There have been a lot of good ones by Stad. This is one of the best. Nobody can ridicule Hillary Clinton like Stad.
Since we can nominate ourselves, I thought this one was a fun romp:

Ages 16 through 64, at least-
I’m nominating Mike Rapkoch’s series on How to Survive a Lawsuit.
I book marked the pages for when I go back to private practice and just because it’s really important information that I had no idea about!

Unfortunately, my memory of the past year is a little fuzzy. I’m going through my old posts to review it….
One highlight was the Ricochet Dork Contest (winner announced here).
