Nice Work If You Can Get It

$156,000 a year for eating my fill and napping for two hours in the office before I go home? A $1,400/month food allowance? Where do I sign up?

Some labor supporters think that the decline of the labor movement is due to evil conservatives and their evil ways. But perhaps they should contemplate the possibility that labor’s decline is due to the fact that the talent pool in the labor movement is not what it used to be.

Could you be content with that life?

    I couldn’t.

… the problem with that lifestyle is that it doesn’t tend to last long.  I am less outraged – I find it more depressing than anything else.  Don’t get me wrong; this is the kind of crap that happens when you have unions and massive government intervention.  But still.  I don’t see that guy pulling 150k for too many more years before his habits catch up with him.

Can you imagine how much damage he’d do if he actually worked?

With respect: this post contributes nothing (or worse). I got on NRO for the same thing awhile back when posts began to appear that seemed a better fit for the tabloids.

Well, at least this trumps Kenneth’s “Adult Baby” post.

  7. Rawls

    Deeply depressing on many levels.

So would it be better if he spent all day at the gym?

  9. Yeah...ok.

    I’d forgotten about that.

Ah the good old days. Fred’s got skills but he ain’t Kenneth.

How much more life can this blubber butt have left?

Cheer up. That’s $156K that can’t be donated to Democratic party candidates.
