Las Vegas Review Journal: Obama Is “Unworthy”

I never much care about endorsements — from the media or individuals — because they’re so boring. But this one from the Las Vegas Review-Journal is anything but:

This administration is an embarrassment on foreign policy and incompetent at best on the economy – though a more careful analysis shows what can only be a perverse and willful attempt to de…

To return to office a narcissistic amateur who seeks to ride this nation’s economy and international esteem to oblivion, like Slim Pickens riding the nuclear bomb to its target at the end of the movie “Dr. Strangelove,” would be disastrous.

Great sentence!   At least the journalists freely use narcissistic now when referencing him :)

How I wish I could vote on Tuesday! I totally agree that Governor Romney is a fine, experienced man, and will be a great President.

Someone was on Canadian TV just now, and I didn’t catch his name, only what he ended up by saying that even if Obama had a slight edge over Romney in the Polls, but that doesn’t mean he will win the election.

  3. Dave Roy

Maybe it sounds better because it’s not exactly intended to be an endorsement of Romney (at least not a formalized “this paper endorses Mitt Romney for President.”

It is a blistering criticism of Obama in many different ways, though. It’s nice to see.

Anybody know whether this paper typically leans right or left?

The history of growing energy use is the history of human progress.  Block energy use, and you end more than progress; you end human life at the margins.  Wealthy people and countries will survive, the poor will not.

  5. Jim W

Praying earnestly between now and Wednesday. More and more people, even in the media, are going public with criticism of the incumbent. May it be sufficient to give courage to enough voters to go with Romney, and those in Congress who will be willing to work with him.

I was wondering the same thing when I read this earlier.  Beautiful!

Wow.  This, plus new breaks in the media blockade of Benghazi, it is almost refreshing, if it weren’t so vitally serious. Huh.

For a second I thought you wrote it.

  9. Yeah...ok.

I think Steve Wynn may have some influence.

You know, I thought I had checked the member feed to make sure it wasn’t on there, but I failed to refresh … I think I’ll be better at this in six days when things calm down a bit! Sorry, flownover!

The Las Vegas Review-Journal is the most, small “l,” libertarian paper in the country!

  13. Mister D

This is one of the most stinging anti-endorsements I’ve ever read. I don’t know the paper’s editorial history, who it has endorsed in the past or what it’s normal tone is, but on its face this is devastating and deserves to go viral, fast.

I would like to see a critique of Harry Reid from the same writer.

This has Steve Wynn written all over it.

Ahem …. flownover was the original poster, thankyouverymuch. Jimmy Carter simply alerted me to the double post.

Also, I wish I were drinking and not working …. (or, you know, working and checking in at Ricochet, too…)

Perfect, simply perfect. A way must be found to tempt EJHill to exercise his skills on this.

Slim-pickens_riding-the-bomb_enh-lores.jpg I think it is past time I stopped browsing The Economist and started a subscription to the  Las Vegas Review-Journal.

I don’t know the Las Vegas media market. It is obviously the dominant media market in NV. But is the LVRJ condemning Obama the same thing in that market as the Washington Times condemning Obama in the WaPo market?
