Justin Bieber Unites America!

Democrats and Republicans agree on only one thing these days: Justin Bieber. The LA Times reports:

A majority of Democrats (23% favorable-54% unfavorable), Republicans (17%-52%), and independents (18%-56%) all bagged on the Biebs.

It took a Canadian pop star to bring this country together.

Take a long look at this photo and ask yourself: Is this the price of national unity?

At the Billboard Music Awards last night, Mr. Bieber opened his mouth and this came out:

“This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken of. I want to thank my manager, Scooter Braun. I want to thank my family at home. I want to thank my mother, my father. I want to thank Jesus Christ.”

When an E! Network reporter contacted Jesus Christ late last night asking if he cared to comment, the LORD reportedly said: “No, I just can’t.”

“This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously and all this other bull should not be spoken of. ” That kinda sounds a little familiar.. Oh yeah, like that other ‘artist’ in the Oval Office.. He wants to be taken seriously too, doesn’t He?

I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously

The sense of entitlement is priceless.

The Lord loves a sinner like me and He also loves the Biebs and that is a good thing, because I can’t find anybody else that does.

I’ve never really minded JB. Granted, his music isn’t my thing, but I chalked that up to the fact that I’m not a pre-pubescent girl and that I’ve never actually listened to any of it. In any case, my additudes could be summed up as live and let live. …That is until I learned he owned a monkey. Monkey ownership should always be taken as a red flag unless the owner is a zoo or paralysed. As a rule, grounded, sensible people never own primates.

Is he displaying? Oh my lord, he’s displaying like a mandrill!

In the words of Malcolm Reynolds, “His mouth is talking. He might wanna look to that.”

As to the image in the post, this.

He is undeniably talented, but he is also an imbecile. Wealth and fame at an early age are almost always destructive to the personality, as demonstrated by the kid’s narcissism. There are rare exceptions, such as Bieber’s friend Taylor Swift, who is intelligent and humble.

    Questions no one is asking:

Why is he walking like that? Is it because the crotch of his pants his between his knees?

When he signed the book at the Anne Frank Museum — “”Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber,” that pretty much nullified any respect I ever had for his musical talent. Yikes.

I never understood the seething hatred the poor guy got on the internet. It’s annoying when you look up a classic rock video on YouTube and the top comment is about how much the poster hates Justin Bieber.

At least that’s how I used to feel. Now it’s starting to look like his lantern’s not quite lit.

Some celebrity is making a spectacle of himself. What’s new?  Very low on my care-about list .

One of the guys in that photo forgot to check the weather report before getting dressed in the morning. Can you guess which one?

BrentB: I have no doubt the Lord does love him. But I have a problem whenever a celebrity lives a notorious lifestyle in a very public way, with girls, drugs and the whole nine, and then goes on TV to name drop Jesus. Think of the effect that could have on the millions of young people who look up to him as a role model. If someone like him wants to start instagramming and tweeting his exploits, I will rarely ever call him on it– until he starts professing Christ while holding a golden statue on TV; then I call bull***t. I have compassion for the guy, but I believe shame has it’s proper place in the world as well, when called for. And when you pose–like so many athletes and celebrities do–like a Christian, while living a lifestyle that flaunts the name you offer thanks to on TV–that’s one of those times.

Wealth and fame appear to have disintegrated him. Pretty sad. He seemed like a nice kid a few years back.
