Give Ricochet Early! Give Ricochet Often!

After Peter and Rob posted on “The End of Ricochet?” last Friday, we were inundated with requests to give gift subscriptions.

Now it’s easier than ever to Give Ricochet with this new, easy-to-use gift certificate link!

Whether you are a member or a non-member, you can click on that link and give memberships to your heart’s content. This is 100% guar…

For the first time in my life I’ve been given incentive to make friends!

    Thank You, Ricochet!

  2. Lucy Pevensie

Done (once). Will keep thinking about other possible recipients (addicts).  Having not heard back on the other thread, I will assume that it is easier for me to click the button than for you to answer my previous email.

It’s not her, but when the article was collapsed on the main page, and the gift box wasn’t clear, I thought “Has Gloria Estefan gotten involved with the current Ricochet push?

Big Congrats on getting the Give Ricochet button set up!

In May when I wanted to give my younger brother a subscription for his birthday, you might remember how I fussed a little that the site should have an “easy button” for giving gifts. Now that you set it up, I felt obliged to say “Thank You” by sending my older brother a Ricochet subscription for Christmas.

Ricochet is such an economical gift, yet perfect for someone who “already has everything.” And you don’t have to ask your wife to wrap it for you!

(Really, guys, you must figure out a way to make more $$$ from the great value you are creating. Mona and Jay’s Need to Know podcast alone is worth the price of admission, and you give it away for free!)

Next up: you guys have to set up an Amazon affiliate link as soon as possible. You may have missed the Christmas shopping buying bonanza, but you can still cash in on the post-Christmas Amazon giftcard sales surge. For instance, I’m planning on picking up an iPad before the end of the year and I’d be delighted for a couple of bucks of that sale to be filtered your way. Make it happen!

If membership comes with a beautiful redhead, it’s a perfect gift for a lot of the guys I know.

We need a new tire for our car,  just filled it with gas, got the oil changed and had to have a new serpentine belt.  That all comes to upwards of $300.  For some, no great expense…for us—down to half the income we earned in 2001—we’re glad we’ve purchased most all of Christmas at secondhand stores because we likely couldn’t have done much Christmas otherwise.

So, FYI…and perhaps I’m not the only person in this boat (??), if there was a starter gift membership in the $10-$15 range, for 3-6 months, for example, I could whet one friend’s appetite (I know just the friend)  and let her re-up when her months have passed and she can’t imagine a single one without Ricochet.  Which I know she couldn’t!
