Georgia GOP Straw Poll Results

My wife and I drove up to Perry, Georgia this morning to attend the Annual GOP fish-fry and straw poll to cast our ballots.  According to the Georgia GOP twitter-feed, here are the results:

I’m sick of this pro-Georgian propaganda. Can’t wait till Putin invades you people again. That’s right….”you people”.

  2. Duane Oyen

Boy, am I glad that Cain squeaked it out over Paul.  We can’t afford to have two state beauty contests in a row won by….. er…. marginal, non-mainstream candidates.  Too easy for Obama to take that fodder and add it to his rapidly emerging “TEA Party=RepublicanWingNuts” theme.

  3. Sisyphus

Ya know, some people are going to look awfully silly when Ron Paul wins the GOP nomination. And I’d still vote for him over Obama. It’s not like he was Mr. RomneyCare after all.

It’s a sign of my creeping dementia, but first time through I read Palin for Putin, and immediately flashed on the doughty Alaskan militia, mukluks and all, cutting their way through the Augusta suburbs toward victory. Unless I hear otherwise from Michael Labeit I am going to assume this was not a psychic flash.

More than just some people – every member of the Republican Party would look like a dunce.

  6. Casey Taylor

I tried my dangedest to get down there, but my unit got put on notice in case we get lent out to North Carolina or Virginia. That excites me that Cain won.

  7. K T Cat

Here in California, we … zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  8. tabula rasa

It’s disgusting the lengths to which you Georgians will go to in order to hide your hatreds (e.g., acting like normal Americans).

The MSM will rip your mask off.

  9. Pseudodionysius

There was no racist rhetoric (in fact, I was surprised by the numerous enthusiastic black folk there to support the event).

The MSM will immediately note the lack of Muslim faithful at your event. Shame on you Southern Fried crusaders. Or as they said at the Battle of Lepanto:

    Yee Haw.

  10. Matthew Gilley

I hope there were no accents in evidence.  If so, the Georgia GOP may have to drop all claims to basic human intelligence.

Please tell me Paul’s booklet contained the Constitution and nothing else.
