Did The Logo Change Today?

Okay, I admit, I don’t often check the upper left area of the screen to make sure the Ricochet logo is the same, but I do like to think of myself as an observant person.

So did the logo change today, adding the “Right People. Right Tone. Right Place.” slogan underneath, or has it been that way for a while and I’ve just been too unobservant to notice it?

Just noticed right before I read your post.

I think that’s shadow behind the text.  I’ll *bet it looks better in Photoshop (or wherever the logo was made.)

    Brand new.

I’ve got a very nice gaming rig that deals with shadows just fine.

    It’s fuzzy.

That sentence just made me laugh out loud.  It’s too bad you’re married, Foxfier.  I have friends who would fall in love upon hearing those words.  (not too bad for you, of course!  Too bad for them.)

Perhaps this has been mentioned before but shouldn’t the “o” tilt right…or is it a veiled reference to Our Dear Leader?

  7. Innocent Smith

Maybe the words are supposed to be fuzzy?  And I agree with Watt.  Wouldn’t it be an easy fix to swap the tilt?

  8. Yeah...ok.

Everything probably looks fuzzy from the bar in Jamaica – no one noticed.

How about some gratuitous lens flare?  ‘Works for JJ Abrams.

I just checked my pre-new-logo Ricochet mug, and the “o” looks the same.

We focus grouped it to death. Turns out a lot of people said that they thought people in their demographic would love it.

So this is the zombie version, since you “focus grouped it to death”?

I thought this was the one place I could come to get away from the zombie fad. :p

lotta words for a logo, guys. I say keep it simple.

  15. Johnny Dubya

The O is tilted right–315 degrees.

“Right People” – so double entendre, so clever!

It works for me – particularly right tone.

Ricochet has turned out to be a welcoming oasis.

  17. Don Tillman

Actually, yes; I do think the “Right People.  Right Tone.  Right Place.” motto is classy, descriptive, and concise.  Thumbs up; it’s a fine addition.

The letter styling reminds me of the 1920′s and hence I cannot help but believe that its a subtle form of racism.

I feel the overwhelming need to cash in my retirement funds and talk to Frank Luntz. But I can’t decide what to say.

Wait…lemme work myself into a lather…You what? You focused grouped it? You decided not to focus group with the very folks who help make Ricochet what it is today? What are we? Chopped liver? This is Ricochet, Man! We love voting on stuff. Even if some of us don’t like the choices. Why, why…it’s just not the American thing to do. See what happens when the nation moves center left…our rights are slowly taken from us. I knew this would happen. I’ve been tellin’ ya. I have. But would anyone listen to me? Nooooooooo…. Ricochet members not good enough to be a fancy-schmancy focus group. The next thing you know you’re going to tell us that it was focused grouped in the People’s Republic of Santa Monica. Oh, the hurt! Someone pull the knife from my back. I need to lie down.
