Yoo da man.

Neutral Milk Hotel, The Magnetic Fields (and solo work by front man Stephin Merrit).

I think The King Prawn summed Peter up best. Love graphics EJ.

Ted Blurn

Thanks Dave, well put. By the way, after listening to your latest podcast and googling images of the new ride, I'm wondering if you'd consider auctioning off shotgun ride-alongs for Ricochet members!

A piece by John Nolte on Rubin at Big Government. Hard to disagree with him. "Left Coast 'Right' Coast is the only podcast I avoid. Bring back Limbaugh.

Ted Blurn

Not working on Safari. Come on the Safari with me. Yeah me.

I've spent the last twenty years screening pap smears for assorted pathology labs in Canada and Australia. It does something to a feller. My one claim to Ricochet fame was being quoted by Peter Robinson to John and Richard about how their podcast keeps me sane. By the way I love the Avett's quote Samwise.

Sean: I don't think that was the point at all. Only Canadians seem to think that a series between Vancouver and Boston is somehow linked to Canadian pride, some kind of proxy for the Olympics or whatever. · Jun 17 at 4:44am

If only that were true. Most of the Canucks hail from other lands. Not that there's anything wrong with that. As much as I loathe the Bruins, they deserved the win because they didn't roll over like the Canucks.

Ted Blurn

I'm assuming you're hoping to smoke out Canadians. I'll take the bait.

Boston Bruins Roster: 21 Canadians, 4 Americans (3 of whom didn't play, )2 Czechs, 1 Slovak, 1 Finn, 1 Kazak. Yeah, you beat Canada. Vive Les Canadiens!!!!

Right between the eyes. Thanks Andrew.

Sweet, sweet news indeed. I especially enjoyed listening via iPhone from my adopted home in Melbourne to the leftist Canadian national broadcasters report the Con's victory while eating humble pie with a warm crow salad on the side.

I was referring to his singing. In general anything post "Pop", in particular, this song.

Does no one find Bono's affected earnestness nauseating?

Danielle Schlei: Excellent comments. I'm also a Catholic. The federal government programs for the poor doesn't fit with the principle of subsidiarity (matters should be handled by the smallest and most local group able to meet the need--very loose paraphrase). We have a duty to provide opportunity for people to improve their lives. Keeping federal spending at levels that will collapse our economy is not stewardship and will only increase the poor among us. That isn't social justice.  · Apr 18 at 5:55pm

Amen.

Ted Blurn

Peter, thanks for hitting these themes regarding actual Catholic teaching concerning social justice. I can almost hear you thumping the table. With respect to Bishop's Conferences in the U.S. and here in Australia especially, the tide is turning. There is hope.
