In foreign affairs, Israel will attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, either covertly or overtly. The United States will sit on the sidelines.
I fear they've (we've) waited to long, and at some point in the near future we'll awake to the news that Tel-Aviv was nuked. Is that an irrational thought?
I think it's a perfectly valid question and discussion to have, but other than being caught off guard by the question, what's to stop someone from lying.. "Oh, I have an average of 760 between the three agencies." Unless you force them to log on to quizle with their smart phone or Ipad, you don't know if they're telling the truth.
I think there are probably more better and subtle ways to deduce there credit and financial stability cleverly discussing things that surround their spending habits, school loans, the burdens of modern living. I've found most people will be open and honest about most things, if they think the listener is going to sympathize with there trials and tribulations.
Of course with the information available on the internet these days you can know more about your date with a little $$ on certain websites. There is more information about our lives on the internet than you would think..

I think that's probably the truest explanation of any.. I'm not sure what that is or what drives it unless it's just in our DNA. People who turn away from religion still have it and just try and replace it with a belief in something else, otherwise there is an unidentifiable, and unconscious void that seemingly eats away at them.
Chevron is just following the wagon train, Comcast made news not 3 months agoish, that they were moving jobs out of CA. not to Texas if I recall. Two other local companies based in my town, have also picked up and moved to Dallas, in the past 2 years. Copart inc, which had it's HQ here, it is an auto reseller of sorts. MV Transportation runs the bus systems for number of the regional transit systems in the area, it was originally started here about 25 or so years ago (as one of the drivers told me.) Also, Charles Schwab has moved a large part of its operations out of CA over the past 7 years, spread it between Phoenix, Denver, and Dallas.
Jinkies, 200 million in taxes? why didn't he leave sooner would be my question to him.. (of course I wish I had that problem to deal with.... sigh)
This is unfortunate, I really like Ricochet. This is one of the friendliest places I've seen on the internet for exchanging ideas, and replying to blogs and posts I've come across. People don't always agree on here, but I've never witnessed any childish post fighting as you seen in other places.. I personally don't plan on writing my on conversation feed, (I just like to watch) but I wouldn't be afraid to in fear of getting flamed.. I hope that people recognize that and do join.
for Ideas about helping I doubt I have any good ideas, but here are some thoughts.
What about reserving a small/tiny space for advertising? It doesn't have to be crazy wild pops or stretched down each side.. Just maybe stuff that would fit the demographic here, but still lift tiny burden off the operating costs? It is part of the modern internet, so I don't think it would be to huge of an intrusion on here.

Not really, but it is disappointing to have an actor like Craig playing Bond and to not get good movie to go along with him.
| I asked a statistics guru why Romney lost last night. He says that the simplest answer is turnout. It appears that Romney had 2.5 million votes less than John McCain in 2008. If Romney had simply replicated McCain's turnout of 59 million, he may have won Ohio, Virginia, and Colorado, where he lost by about 100,000 votes. Romney even won independents by 4 points, where McCain lost them by 8. Obama's turnout dropped 10 million votes from 2008. If Romney had modestly improved on McCain's performance four years ago, he would have won the popular vote. Instead, it looks like Obama will win with about 60 million. |
That's really depressing to know, that nearly three million R leaning voters chose to sit out considering what was riding on this election. I wasn't energized by Romney either, but I wasn't going to sit on the voting side lines..
The question I have is who is/was out there that could have or would energize the base enough to come out. More over, who would be inspiring enough to swing over middle left voters?
Over the last 6, or so, recent Presidential Elections, is there a polling agency that seems to have fairly accurate polling data in relation to how the election actually turned out? Or are they all completely off base when compared to the actual election results? It seems so much attention is paid to the polling prior, but seemingly no attention is paid to how inaccurate some or all of them turn out to be post-election. Not to mention any focus on how the polls are configured, who they're asking, what they're asking etc..
I have to wonder what her parents are, perhaps inadvertently, subjecting her to, that she's this sick of the election. I mean throw on mickey's play house video on the tv and watch your election stuff on your Ipad...
What's the margin of error in each poll? If either holds a lead smaller than the margin, it should be referenced as a straight up tie, or tie leaning for one or the other..
It's a nice answer, but I wish Mitt Dukakis would run a better campaign. Although, he's hamstrung by an ineptly biased media, that looks at liberal Washington with blinders and idolization instead of objective analytical eyes.
Some how I think kids that see this movie are going to be disappointed and confused that he's not slaying vampires.. However this movie looks promising.. I might go see it.. However, I'll keep my expectations low...

Re: Reality Shows: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Survivor, The Apprentice plus or minus Celebrity one depends on the celebs. Also, I do watch Big Brother but I think that's more about the train wreck factor.. However my all-time favorite reality show wasn’t really a reality show, the Joe Schmoe Show 1 & 2 was very entertaining.
