===============================================================

I'm a long time listener of the Ricochet podcast, I found it by accident the second week it went on cyberspace. I became a member right away and stopped the membership about four months in. I was more interested in hearing podcasts then writing.  Plus I was being cheap, feeling that there wasn't enough podcast material to justify the membership.  I was wrong, wrong wrong.  I changed my mind and rejoin as a member in Feb 2012.

I like your style AZ.    I say you watch in on your smartphone (while) on your way to get beer & dip

Joseph Eagar: I guess I'm offended that the people who complain about uninformed voters are often themselves very uninformed about public policy issues.

Frankly, we don't have nearly enough policy wonks on the right, and we have almost none in our activist class.  It's a bit rich when people who know little of public policy criticize low information voters. · 23 hours ago

Joseph,

Are avaialble to join us on the Audio Meetups?  You have an interesting point of view. One that the AMU gang would love to dive into.  Anyone else from the AMU gang feel Joseph would add some color to our little discussions?

John Murdoch: 13/13.

I think you'd see similar results if you did a grammar or spelling test--or even took a sample distribution of posted comments and graded them. Ricochet would simply crush other Internet sites--including The Atlantic, the Economist, and the New York Times--that one associates with those who are smarter than the average bear.

Our new slogan:

Ricochet: Not just right. Excruciatingly correct. · 6 hours ago

Can't say I did well on the grammar test.  But that wasn't a surprise to me at all.
But I like the site and will use it so I can meet the standards that Ricochet Members deserve.

GLDIII: I was expecting "What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow", which I could answer....

Glad to say I got 13 out 13

You scored better than 93% of the public and the same as 7%.

No way Jose, without a full page ad in every major newspaper from the Arab Leauge giving us the go ahead to end the fighting via air power knowing People will die and some of them will not be soliders.

CuriousJohn

Its all in the effects of the Sun.

Why do all the free condoms and free birth control being handed out only seem to be going to the Asians and 70% of the Whites?

The libs really can't get their own message to their people it appears.

Involuntary Part-Time Workers” is the short-term as well as long-term legacy of the Big O.  This is what he will be remembered for in the future. However we need a much catcher name/term to hang this around his neck forever.

How about:  "Stuck Force"   vs. "Work Force"

CuriousJohn

Pat, you are a "Top Shelf" man

CuriousJohn

What a great joy it will be.  (for me) because [1] I've been privilege to see the inside of the "Ride of Pride" and will be pointing to the TV and telling anyone that will listen, I've been in that truck. [2] I know first hand what a thrill it is to drive on a historic track. I was able to red line a Dodge Caravan on the brickyard during the Indy time trials (about 10 years ago) while working for a remote camera crew.

it will be a joy for you Dave. Enjoy the lap!  I know you will be smiling from ear to ear, even if the high center of gravity will cause the thing to fall over on the steep banked curves.

Misthiocracy: Like most good ideas, I don't think this one goes far enough.

I say, abolish all foreign aid, and invite all the countries that currently receive US taxpayer support to apply for statehood instead. · 3 hours ago

Now that's out of the box thinking.  Me Likey

iWc: I have always been saddened by the fact that our own government does not believe in the Constitution.

Every time we have had the opportunity to remake a foreign government (Japan, Philippines, Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan...) what do we do?

We don't give them the most proven freedom-loving government format in the history of the world. Insetad, we give them parliamentary democracies.

Every. Single. Time.

WTF? · 1 hour ago

I've noticed that as well for a long time.  Seems strange don't you think.  Or do we not trust them to have a two party system?

CuriousJohn
QuickerBrownFox: I would prefer to just have citizenship become close to meaningless and less of an issue than admit a new country,

Now that's an interesting thought/question.  Which is less important: meanless citizenship or expanding the base of the country.
