Congratulations on recording this interview when your were in DC Peter.  It was refreshing to see an analytical dissection of this year's political season seen through the filter of his mastery of past electoral cycles.  I wish our opposition would be patient enough to listen to all your Uncommon Knowledge interviews, but this one especially.  They could learn so much. 

I'll be voting for Newt on Tuesday in Illinois' primary for two reasons.  He has the best ideas and that's one more vote whiny Santorum won't get. 

I've wondered how the notoriously litigious George Lucas can allow a company to exist that has so explicitly ripped off  a copyrighted concept from the Empire Strikes Back.  Only Han Solo was frozen in carbonite. 

Unfortunate?  Hardly.  It should be Romney's main campaign platform.  It's ouR-money that the government is wasting.   It is the main different between limited government advocates and liberal scum.  Conservatives believe people are entitled to keep the money they earn for themselves, whereas progressives erroneously believe that government knows better how to spend on their priorities instead or yours.  

Count me among the conspiracy theorists.   No death at 43 is "natural," even if Breitbart lived at an accelerated pace and relished undue stress.

The University of Illinois has never been among the thoroughly corrupt NCAA's favored nation status going back decades, namely the Deon Thomas, Bruce Pearl controversy.   This latest assault on institutional autonomy is just the most recent selective outrage.  What's worse is the UIUC administration just caved due to political pressure from left-wing professors and the NCAA was just the excuse they needed. 

I applaud the fortified spine of the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.

On a related note, Chief Illiniwek used to perform a Lakota Sioux fancy dance with authentic regalia provided by a North Dakota Lakota Tribe.  Since the confederated Illini tribes are extinct, there is no one to object save the remnant Peoria in Oklahoma, who have an excellent Chief , who is suspiciously not offended at all by the Fighting Illini or our beloved symbol. 

Of course Led Zeppelin's first six albums are unsurpassed in the history of rock and roll.

However in the music soundtrack composition, nothing matches John Williams run from 1977-1982.  Star Wars, Superman, The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark and ET are the pinnacle of the genre. 

In other non-Star Trek sci-fi news, I want to know whether our esteemed hosts are aware that Edgar Rice Burrough's John Carter has been adapted into a film by Andrew Stanton of Pixar fame and are they psyched to go see it despite Disney's awful marketing campaign?

The ease in which Gingrich responds to pointed questions without having to pause for reflection is impressive.  I believe this is the benefit of having a thoroughly articulated political stance so that all ideas stem from the same root.

We all pray that this is Obama's last opportunity to submit a budget of any kind.

 This whole issue is minute in comparison to the all the other preferences and carve-outs in all federal legislation.  Obamacare is failure for this very reason.  It must be repealed in its totality and our tax code completely re-written to simply "accomodate" charitable instittutions. 

When I was six my dream was to be a construction worker so I could wear blue jeans to work.  Then, when I was ten I settled on architecture.  25 years later it is not nearly as much fun as I imagined then. 

So now I want to chief censor and aesthetic comissioner of the USA because far too much filth should never see the light of day and I'm willing to shoot down everybody else's dreams so you don't have to be subjected to the annoyance of a bad commercial. 

Towards the tail end of his FNC show I found his 20 minute monologues self-indulgent and not particularly informative.  I can't imagine paying to watch a two-hour version everyday.
