Bio

I'm a senior English major at Hillsdale College in Michigan. This semester, I'm living in DC and interning for National Review while taking politics classes. Some of my favorite authors are T. S. Eliot, John Donne, Walker Percy, and Flannery O'Connor. I love food, whitewater kayaking, and exploring DC.

It seems like this is a bit too black and white –– there's never going to be one perfectly reliable news source. Journalists are humans, so they all have biases, and the good ones learn to mitigate them. But even then, you're not going to have a perfect media outlet; if you just watch CNN or just read the Drudge Report, you won't get the whole story, period.

Another important detail, though, is that T-Mobile isn't successful in the US; Slate says its owner, Deutsche Telekom, is exiting the US market because the company is doing so poorly.  And it hasn't turned a profit in the last 11 years

I'm all for free markets and competition, but that means that some businesses won't make it. And as Slate argues, that's good for consumers in the long run.

I like that you said this was a Hail Mary, because now Obama's competing with the NFL. Anymore good football puns? Maybe Obama's scheduling gets fouled up, or Presidential schedulers drop the ball?
