https://www.outboxmail.com sounded pretty cool at first, but the need for "unpostmen" seems like a drag.

We should totally listen to Ann Coulter. She was right on the money about President Romney and his loyal squire, Governor Christie.

Merry GLoP to one and all!

It reminds me of Luca Brasi.

Is there an organizational account on github for Ricochet development? How are development resources and contributions going to be managed?

P.S. You mention Kwanza, but not the other made up holiday with just as rich a backstory, Festivus?

Can we go back to calling them red, after the collapse?

I, too, am wary of sharing this. The bots are going to latch on to the message of interconnectedness.

I'm not a fan, but I think that he's earnest.

Apart from the chat being confined to a little iframe, the styling for individual messages uses a lot of white space. You could easily fit three messages in the space spent on one.

There's not much that you can do about the speed of a popular chat. The more that you can see, the more likely you'll be to adjust and get a better sense of context and flow. You may even get to hop on a stream within the torrent.

I just crawled out from under a rock and was wondering where new episodes have gone to. Did Michael Buffer sue?

John Podhoretz posted a link to another good review at http://www.nybooks.com/articles/archives/2012/sep/27/pride-and-prejudice/

These are not, Wolf emphasizes, the culturally specific preferences of a high-maintenance woman, but the biologically determined requirements of all women. In prehistoric times, it was dangerous for women to enter the disinhibited trance state of high orgasm when they were copulating “in the vicinity of wild animals or aggressors from another tribe,” so choosing sexual partners who would value them enough to protect them in an emergency was paramount.

This would seem a very flimsy speculation on which to hang an entire theory about women’s hardwired need for precoital schmoozing. One of its several problems is that it fatally exaggerates the obliviousness of the orgasmic woman. Anecdotal evidence suggests that a female in the throes of more than culturally adequate passion can snap to attention with astonishing rapidity if one of her children happens to wander into her bedroom, and the response time might even be quicker if the intruder were a woolly mammoth.

Let's repeal the 17th amendment.

A great new podcast showed up on my ricochet feed this morning. I'll make sure to subscribe when it gets its own feed.

I was about to joke that he's the first senator of color from the state of Massachusetts, but my geek sense tingled and upon a Google search I learned that that honor belongs to another Republican.

I watched it. How many resources were devoted to encoding for the video podcast and keeping the RSS feed going? Could a volunteer take it over?
