Let's face it, the reason I want the voting age to be higher is that a) young people are morons and b) they tend to vote for Democrats. Wait, is that redundant? Hey, I include myself in that! I was 26 when I voted for my first Republican. The reason Democrats want to lower the voting age is that a) young people are morons and b) they tend to vote for Democrats.

My mother was also 56 when she died from breast cancer, in 2008. It's very hard not to second guess and think, well, if only she had done this, or gotten this test, or tried that procedure. But things happened the way they did and I have to accept that, which I do, though I miss her terribly.

I think it's commendable that Jolie is speaking out. However, the last bit about so-called "hollistic" measures annoyed me. That whole industry is a sham. There are no "natural" remedies that will cure cancer, and new-age mountebanks who peddle them are contemptible.

There's nothing wrong with it. I'm not suggesting that healthcare should be free, or anything. But Obamacare was "supposed" to make us get healthcare delivered by elven doctors riding unicorns.
