I love Wrigley Field. It is the perfect stadium for a fan to enjoy the game. It is cozy, close to the field, and fun. 

There is no way any new stadium could be better. Tradition still means something. Let the Cubbies play!

Buzz Bissinger has lost it. I read the article, picked my teeth up off the floor, and wondered how one man could be so wrong. At the schools where football and basketball make money (every single school in the SEC, even Vandy), they pay for all the other sports. Auburn has a fantastic equestrian team (gotta be a big money draw there), an incredible swimming & diving team, and a basketball team (that hasn't been to the Big Dance since Charlie Barkley was on the team. Football supports softball, gymnastics, golf, and all other female sports. 

Keep football. Basketball? Well, maybe during March Madness. 

We also build rockets for space travel, construct building in the architecture school, supply many of the nurses for Alabama, and heal animals from all over the world.  When AUDad & I were in school there, a kangaroo was flown in because of Auburn's work with ruminants. 

Okay, I am seeing this at 12:45... how do I fit in my 2.25 miles on the elliptical?

I test as Midland. I am so Southern that even I wince sometimes. 

Have your read all three of the Hunger Games novels? I ripped through them in one weekend. I liked the first one, questioned the second, and hated the third. By the epilogue — which put a ribbon on things but never quite wrapped them up — I was furious that I had spent that much time with characters that betrayed their original goodness. 

I am in the middle of the evangelical South and I have not heard the first person they are not voting for Romney because of his religion.

AUDad and I are coming on 33 years of marriage. It takes a lot of work but is so worth it.

Oh, man! After the maid, the new library wing, the very worthwhile charities as well as family trusts, and a Ford Flex (I need a mom car even though my children are grown), I would travel, travel, and travel. 

Sometimes I feel stupid when I try to think of a way to tell such thinkers how ridiculous they are without sounding rude.

What is it about research that so perfectly confirms one's own beliefs? Talk about self-selecting.
