While I agree that the typical bureaucrat is a Leftist drunk on power, this initiative came from the top. Do we think that those that did this were auditioning for advancement in the administration? This was cooked up after the shellacking Obama received in 2010.

This is precisely why she was targeted. I've been stewing about this whole IRS thing this weekend, when I read her story in NR, the progrom (yes, Soviet term) came more fully into focus. It's clear they were worried about this group even more than the Tea Parties, though the harrassment there was bad enough.

As infuriating as that family's story is, the fact that the agencies in question are so varied (OSHA, ATF, FBI) clearly indicates Obama Administration fingerprints and direction.

Like in any organized crime investigation, I hope the House Oversight Committee begins subpoena's the local, Texas field office employees of these agencies working those leads to where this has been cooked up.

They have been forced to use Hugo's collection of Sean Penn films in place of the real thing.

I'd classify promoting that lady that was in charge of the IRS Tea Party Operation to head up the IRS' Obamacare provisions as promoting that type of 'environment'.

Can Mitt Romney or the Koch Brothers offer 'financial rewards' for whistleblowers in order to entice them to come forward? Imagine the wailing & gnashing of teeth on the Left!

That seems a low blow. Yes, they are Catholic but it illustrates the fiction peddled that Hispanics are conservatives in waiting. As a group (as Catholics, as students, as wards of the state, as prisoners) they alter the bell curve, for worse - towards the Left.

Also note that in his intitial round of softball interviews (David Letterman, The View, Telemundo) that he stated that he (I paraphrase) 'ordered that we protect our embasies so that this doesn't happen again and that we arrest & bring to justice those that perpetrated this act'

Notice that he never stated that he ordered the military to do a thing - parsed, this statement meant that after leaving these people in the lurch, let's make sure it doesn't happen again. I have to believe that in authorizing Panetta to do anything that a President has to set broad outlines of what can be done and what can't.

The administration keeps stating that there were no military assets in the area - how & to whom was this information relayed. The original response team that was ordered to stand down in Tripoli was at some point ordered to activate (who did this?). Clinton and/or Obama were never updated on the progress or setbacks in the response?

My children have woven more convincing lies about not being able to eat what's on their plates.
