Bio

My real name is Michael J Fox, but I am not a short actor with health problems, so I use Foxman instead.  I sometimes have fun with this.  Other times it is a bother.  My birthday is 7/11/1958.  With that birthday I should either play craps or get into the convenience-store business.   I was born in a suburb of Chicago, but moved to a suburb of Cleveland when I was two, so Cleveland is my home town.

I am one of ten children (yes we’re Catholic).  There were five boys and five girls.  My parents liked balance, and, from all appearances, noise.

I received my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton in 1981.  I have lived in Canton, Ohio, Houston, Texas and now in the Detroit suburb of Northville.  I work as an engineer for a major auto manufacturer.

I lost my wife to leukemia near the end of 2007.  I have no children.

I don't care what Whittle says.  Ginger is a redhead. I love redheads.

The fact that the president of networks have close relatives on the Obama staff is relevant.  Being an employee of a news organization should not prevent your spouse from working for the president.

I have to finish off a bottle of Riesling within 3-4 days

THis has NEVER been a problem for me.  Finishing in 3-4 hours, also not a problem.

Fake John Galt:   At one point I asked that since he did not believe in God how he thought life started on earth.  At first he start with the evolution argument but as I told him evolution explains how we got the way we are but does not explain how life started, where that first living thing that we all evolved from came from.  He got quiet for a second then said that he was not really sure but thought the most plausible explanation was that we were visited in ancient times by aliens that left life on the planet.  I started to laugh before I realized that he was serious, ancient space aliens seeding life throughout the universe was a reasonable explanation to him, but God, now that was a step to far.

Um, how did the alien life get started? · 21 hours ago

It's turtles all the way down.

Fred Cole:

It will do so until people realize it can be used to make scary things we're not supposed to have like guns and drugs.

Drugs?

Some of us just find self-appointed martyrs annoying, especially when it's a constant refrain.  Doesn't matter if it's from a "feminist" or any other reflexive "victim." · 11 hours ago

Gender test:

Ask subject to look at his/her fingernails.

If subject extends arm and bends wrist back such the subject is looking at the back of hand, the subject is female.

If the subject bends elbow and rotates forearm such that the subject is looking at palm and then curls fingers so that nails are visible, subject is male.

The Bush administration did not expose Ms Plame.  Ambassador Wilson did.  This is well documented.

Here where I work, we use 3-d printing all the time, but it's slow and extremely expensive compared to production methods.  It's great for creating a model for test, but they are not very durable.

Has there been some major advance in this?

Edward Smith: Foxman:

Do you love JoJo?  Does the thought of bringing a child into the world with her, raising that child, teaching that child the difference between right and wrong, how to be a mature and reponsible adult human being excite you?  Fill you with joy and anticipation as much as it does with trepidation?

Then marry her.

These are excellent reasons to marry.  The best.

OH <EXPLETIVE>, you're pregnant is not.

By the way, I don't know Jojo.  I'm not even entirely certain of Jojo's gender.  The avatar looks male to me. · 3 hours ago

What does gender have to do with anything?  Since feminism has taken hold gender is immaterial.  A woman is as good as a man and a man is as good as a woman, but a wise Latino is better than both.  Even asking a person’s gender is a subversive in modern day’s society.  Get with the program mister / mistress.  · 13 hours ago

Yes, but pregnancy is highly unlikely in homosexual relationships, hence no shotgun marriages.

There are four reasons that this will bring down Obama.

Obama could murder a pregnant woman with an axe on live TV.  His supporters would not budge.
