I seem to be receiving only every other line in your post. ( It could be my browser but, more likely, the Richochet site is on the fritz again.) Needless to say, this makes it difficult to suss out the deep magic ... er, meaning ... of your galactic cri de coeur. Still, I've always liked a challenge so here goes:

Apparently, they've run out of Ripple at the Space-Time -- I take it this is your favorite watering hole -- and your feeling a bit wistful, maybe even a little jumpy. Take it easy buddy, we've all been there.(By "all", I mean all of us who meet at the end of every month in the alley behind the Short Straw Pay Day Loans office to toss pennies for lotto tickets.) Here's what you do. First, try CVS . If it's not in the

paganpink2

liquor dept, try housewares. If that doesn't pan out remember you can always roll your own. A gallon of Hawaiian Punch, some lighter fluid and copper tubing and you're good to go.

By all means, what you said. And I also like to assume the position:

Teeds lite

Lets people know you'll be needing a little more "personal space" for a while ... an acre or so should do.

Why is everyone listening to NPR, are they having a contest or something?

By the way, I'm Thowmas Painscastle and I approve this message.

I dunno, It's not like Britain hasn't had her share of bad kings -- Ethelred the Unready, John Lackland, Richard II and Charles I are a few that spring to mind.  Something always seems to come along to cleanse the gene pool and save the realm. In the examples cited, that would be: the Danes, the bloody flux, Bolingbroke and Parliament respectively.

With any luck, Elizabeth will live another 87 years and Charles can continue poncing around the world declaiming the evils of climate change to anyone dumb enough to listen.

I don't know about you, Franco, but where I'm at things are now perfect, so Congress can cease and desist any time they like. Maybe one last Act - just a resolution really - to put paid to all the carnage. You know, something like  The Flogging May Now Cease, Morale Couldn't Be Better Act.

In what language, Pig Latin? To be fair, it may be more than just "information" that  this guy is low on. (On the other hand, his buddy, Mr. Ganja Banana, may be more persuadable.) Still, I like your ad buys on BET and Telemundo.

I know the Supremes have held that Congress has the authority to step into the morass of state and local sales and use taxes if it chooses.  But why choose? It's not as if the states need help in coming up with new and creative taxes to inflict on their citizens. And it's not like Congress has a great track record when it comes to producing elegant tax code. If the feds insist on sticking their fingers into this tar baby, they might at least opt for simplicity and go with the "origin-sourced" plan suggested by de Rugy and Thierer at The Mercatus Center.

Instead, what the MFA does is codify a regional tax charter called  the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement, a bureaucratic Rube Goldberg confection that runs to 200 pages. Good thing it's "streamlined", otherwise it might be ... you know ... complicated.

And does it never occur to these micro-wits that attempting to camouflage egregious legislation behind Orwellianisms - like Marketplace Fairness Act, or Affordable Care Act, or Good Stuff for Children and Puppies Act - fools no one?

Johnny Dubya: Who knows? Maybe one day, our dependence on Middle East oil will be so reduced that we won't feel the need to whisk Saudi nationals out of the country after terrorist attacks. · 5 hours ago

Better still, maybe we won't feel the need to let those Saudi nationals into the country to begin with.

There's a reason they call it Yahoo Finance: because Captain Billy's Whizbang Golden Treasury of Stupid Economist Tricks was already taken.

Applying the Internet Verisimilitude Depreciator Effect (where 90% of everything is crap, the other 10% highly suspect, and reality ... well, let's just say you can't get there from here) yields the equivalency, Blodgett = Full of It. "It" being whatever Krugman is full of. Indeed, he is apparently so full of it that he can share some of it with Thomas Friedman who recently opined that a carbon tax would be just the ticket to assuage our anxiety over the Boston bombers.

"As economy recovers, the richest get richer, study finds"

Which economy ? Where's this guy reporting from, Singapore? Couldn't be anyplace near me. I'll admit my attention tends to wander but ... don't tell me the "recovery" has come and gone while I was out to lunch. Maybe I missed the announcement, "Coming Soon to an Economy Near You, Recovery! -- This Week Only!"
