to john- I agree with you,  there are plenty of people in academia, law, politics , etc., who subscribe to the sentiment I mention

An interesting question is why do people think the rock and roll  of the Beatles was something more meaningful than the pop music of other eras? Is the criteria is other rock bands?  If so that seems a rather constrained assessment of the musical output of that era let alone other eras.

The point is that The Beatles are best understood by investigating the circumstance in which they emerged as well as their musicianship, musical literacy and skill as lyricists in a larger context than music that was marketed to adolescents by  commerical interests.

If you mean best lobbyist in the sense of subject matter expertise I would agree.  I do not think that definition includes Congress experience. Their expertise pertains to manipulating the system for personal gain

I'm not against lobbying,  I just think the wheels are too greased for former Congressional office holders/staff

For those who wish to avail themselves of the current school schedule,  no one is stopping them. For those who think that 21st Century education is not restrained by clocks or months should be able to  have access to education based on technology and the acquisition of knowledge. Diversity is not the exclusive province of social engineers.

perhaps it is  not so much of the attraction of the "taboo" but t in a decadent West  any and all behaviors are being commercialized and mainstreamed through previously unavailable communication channels. Also it doesn't appear that the concept of human dignity has much value when in pertains to personal gratification
