Mitt's level of "fire in the belly" had nothing to do with his  (our) defeat.  When you run a man with Mitt's record of accomplishment, in both the public and private sector, with Mitt's character, and with Mitt's personal background against a small minded, thin skinned, narcissistic little man with a record of abject failure in the public sector, with no record at all in the private sector, and with an obvious hostility to everything traditionally American and you lose, the problem is not with your candidate.  The problem is with the electorate.  Two generations of ever increasing dependance on the central government has created a nation of sheep wanting only the security of knowing their government check is in the mail.  We have become a nation of fools and we will eventually pay the price.

Jimmy Carter: Barry wasn't a "complete unknown." First, he had a (D) after his name (which speaks volumes), a history of voting present (which speaks volumes), and not one, buttwoautobiographies (which speaks....).

I don't understand your comment.  What does "Barry's black" have to do with his performance?  Are you implying if he was white, we'd all be happy with Obamacare, with $16T is debt heading for $20T, with a growing  reliance of the citizenry  on government checks?  I hardly think so!
