It's not just that- it is a little bit tight as well and could be a bit longer overall. It just doesn't look as though it is sized comfortably at all; the dinner jacket I had made for my wedding in the '70's fits me better now than that fits him. · 18 hours ago
Looks like he's wearing a size too small. I suspect the catalog photogs do this to get an appropriate amount of shirt cuff showing at the wrist.
Personally, I've never bought anything at Brooks Brothers - it's out of my price point.
Trink: There is no adequate response to this howling, wrenching indictment of the progressive left.
No voice could ring more powerfully than Dave Carter's - in damning the evil laid before us. · 32 minutes ago
With the greatest of respect, Trink, and appreciation, the most powerful voices are those of the women whose lives were permanently scarred. · 2 hours ago
Dave. You are the warrior. I haven't the courage to watch it. · 21 hours ago
I watched it.
For several days, as I have been re-Tweeting Mollie's interrogatories to reluctant journalists, this story has kept me in a state of sadness. But as I watched, this video brought me to tears. Bless you, Dave, for writing this post. Bless you, Mollie, for doing your part to bring this horrific tale into the public conscience.
Before the end of Bretton Woods, we had a lot less stuff upon which to spend our income. Were you to price today's commodities against the expected standard of living from those bygone days, a tradesman could probably still support his family just as well.
Why are these leaders always surprised when people behave in predictable fashion (trying to get their money before the gate closes)?
It seems to me that rightward-leaning economists develop theories to explain how economies actually function. Leftward-leaning economists develop theories to explain how they would like economies to function.
Mallard: How many hundreds or thousands of the ghosts of his victims let out a collective cheer at the news that he has joined them on the other side?! · 2 hours ago
I hope most of them aren't where he can join them.
Since jurisdictions are treated unequally under Section V, and thus the citizens of said jurisdictions, is it not a clear violation of the Equal Protection clause? Given the poisonous political climate, however, I don't see the Court striking it down.
If the economy contracted in Q4, that should be especially grim news. Sales over the holiday season account for a large percentage of income for many businesses, and yet there was economic downturn despite Christmas sales.
Some Cowboy Action Shooters have adopted the "straw" method using a length of PVC pipe of proper diameter to fast-load lever-action rifles. I think this requires cutting a slit most of the length of the pipe to accommodate a sliding plunger made of hardwood dowel.
CoolHand: There are quite a number of tube fed rifles chambered in 22LR.
The gun grabbers want to save some guns to ban on the next round of hysterics, dontcha know.
Way back when, I made my own "high capacity clip" for my tube fed .22lr rifle.
I went into McDonald's, bought a Coke, and grabbed 10 drinking straws, which are conveniently the exact diameter to stack .22LR bullets without them rattling around or getting stuck. Scotch tape one end, fill from the other side, cut the straw short if needed, and tape it shut. Presto! A five second reload, once you get used to ripping the tape off and guiding the end into the tube.
Maybe that's why Bloomberg banned large soft drinks. With 32oz cups, the straws keep getting longer, making for even higher capacity clips! · 3 minutes ago
But is a soda straw a "clip" or a "magazine"? · 39 minutes ago
It is a magazine for the purpose of loading a magazine. A clip holds cartridges ridgedly by the rim.

I am personally not offended by the sight of bare breasts. I may, however, find myself unable to resist the impulse to stare.
