Jeff Foxworthy says you know you are a Coloradoan when you have a favorite blizzard. Living in Denver since 2000, mine is the blizzard of '03. We got 4 feet in central Denver. On that Monday, the weatherman said a big one was coming and you need to be where you will spend the next few days. My daughter said "I need to be in Winter Park". HaHa. She didn't and good thing because they couldn't run the lifts with 6 feet of snow.
Ask a real old timer and they will say the blizzard of '87 topped '03.
Try the "overnight turkey". It is super easy. You can find the recipe at Trisha's Southern Kitchen. Basically you preheat oven to 500. Butter breast side of turkey, put carrot, celery, onion inside. Pour 2 cups of chicken broth in pan, cover and put in oven. When oven returns to 500 wait 1 hr and then turn oven off. Do not open door until it is cool, 4-6 hrs for 12lb bird. If you are not going to serve right away, put it in refrigerator then warm in oven for 30 minutes before serving.
You have to serve with cornbread dressing though.
Here in Denver, I live in central Denver near Downtown, there are much fewer Obama stickers and no Romney stickers. We don't want our cars keyed. We're not dummies. However I have noticed in my neighborhood that the Romney yard signs are going up. I've seen them 2 to 1 over Obama. I would be brave and put one up but I'm trying to sell my house.
It is my understanding that the Fed is printing money to buy US Treasuries to keep the interest rates down. I was told this is a bad thing because it will lead to hyper inflation. In three and a half years we have had very low inflation. How is this happening?
From Colorado - I live in Central Denver so I'm surrounded by many young liberals. I don't see any yard signs yet. There are some 2012 bumper stickers next to the coexist stickers but not much buzz. My Jewish boss voted for the President but is thinking about voting for Romney depending on his VP pick. I am working on one independent at work and I think he and his wife will vote Romney. Both my daughters voted for the President last time here and one if flipping.
I'd love to see you take this and make a 30 sec "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" commercial and send Romney the link with the rights to use it. Right on Brother!!
Mollie, I hope you and the other editors get some posts up on the main page that give us hope for November and the future of our healthcare. I don't want to cry at work.
Biographies of great historical people. Lincoln, Washington, etc. There used to be preteen series that I would get for my girls. I think they need to learn about people with character.
For those who want to help, here is the link to the Channel 7 in Denver website "How to help". At the end it lists the websites of the various firehouses that are battling fires all over the state. I plan on donating to them in appreciation but also so they can replenish their equipment and supplies. http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/31229456/detail.html
Brietbart is here...
Obama: "I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth."
Romney: "Maybe but did he use a small silver spoon for his coke in college*."

Re: Questions For Contributors - The Impact Of Ricochet
I'm sure the NSA has enjoyed reading our posts. Didn't the IRS ask if any members of the group belonged to Ricochet?
