I suppose it depends how you define "socialism."  If you mean totalitarian Marxist Communism then I agree.  If you mean a cradle-to-grave welfare state, then I disagree.

I think Christianity is compatible with a wide range of political systems, including anarcho-capitalism, monarchy, and European-style social welfare states.  "Render unto Caesar" and all that.  Christianity doesn't dictate a specific political system or form of government IMHO. · _{2 hours ago}

I don't blame Foxfier for unfollowing (if, in fact, she did) when this is the tenor of the commentary. Nowhere have I seen any Catholic I'm aware of on this thread offer infallibility as a smokescreen. That's just you taking a particular Catholic idea--misconstruing it in the process--and raising a silly argument that no Catholic here brought up to explain the Pope's remarks. There's plenty to argue about on the thread; no need to argue a point you've hallucinated.
