I too find myself without much audible time. Not taking long drives often any more, and when we do it is with two children under 5 through the East African country side. This is not conducive to enjoyment of an audible book that doesn't involve Thomas, Pooh, or Bob the Builder. Hey that is an idea though....Does Audible do children’s books? Anyway, back to Chris' point, my commute to work is about 10 minutes every morning and if I need to get out of the office to visit clients I use this time to listen to Ricochet podcasts, Rush 24/7, or downloaded sermons from a former pastor who I like to keep up with.
Maybe I'll have to try "Sleep Learning" to get reading in.
Living overseas, and being an avid reader, I revel in the ease of using the kindle. Not only is itmuchcheaper than buying physical books that have to be shipped to Africa, it also allows me to have a much greater selection than would be available otherwise.
I know that I can order my kindle e-book from Encounter, and am happy to do so to ensure that Amazon knows I have come from Encounter to buy the book. I assume that Encounter derives a financial benefit from this.
How can I ensure that Encounter is able to attribute my purchases to their sponsorship of Ricochet?
Re: The problem with Long, Lileks, Robinson, et al.
Chris does make a great point.

Chris, I love the Flashman books!
