Congress has not passed a budget in  5 years now (right?). If I was elected POTUS, I shutdown the Federal government except the military and border patrol. Then I would be begin dismantling the Department of Education, HHS (there goes ObamaCare), Energy, Labor and other crippling agencies. New regulations would stop. If Congress passed a budget, I wouldn't sign until it was the budget I wanted.

Drop taxes to %8 plus %10 for social security and medicare. That %10 would be a cap too. Everyone gets a 401K like account but no deduction for it, but unlimited contributions. A Carson plan too.

On entitlements, I would begin buying out SS accounts, from the 10%, starting with already retired seniors by having investment companies bid on blocks of retirees. Medicare would be bid out, by the year, to insurance companies in blocks too.

When the economy really starts recovering, and it will, I would shove that in the Socialist, Liberal Democrats faces--hard.

MJBubba: To me the most serious infraction was by the management who failed to enforce their own rules and insist that Miss C turn off the offending device. · 21 hours ago

Forget the phone throw, Mr. Williams should sue the theatre for breach of contract, ticket costs, and whatever else a good lawyer can add on.

I think if you look at the history of fire departments, at least in bigger cities, they were private and financed by insurance companies (did you say that? I missed it if you did).

If we leave it up to local governments and the people, they'll get the what they ask for. That's the beauty of it--the free market of ideas. The only problems that arise, as Fred Cole points out, is when local or governments step in with  cronyism or laws that ham-string citizens.

Just for the record: Phone call records belong to the phone company and not to the customer.  A phone call record contains both originating and terminating phone numbers, time of call start and stop, etc. No names, addresses or personal information. Phone companies can and do sell phone call records, in mass and dated.

.. "fifty million rolls to meet current demand."

'Current' demand means today. What about tomorrow?

What? The State governments have no role here? They can't provide welfare, medical care, food stamps? Come on Conservatives. Put on your thinking caps. We have 4 levels of government: Federal, State, County, City, and multiple social levels: individual, family, friends, neighbors, etc.

If that is his principled stand,  I'm good with it.  If he changes his mind on dime or flip-flops then I'll be the first to throw him under the bus.

If Ricochet was a sex-change operation, it would cut off everything.

If Ricochet was the IRS, it would it audit itself.

Benghazi hearings??? I just was watching CNN and only saw news about the reunion of the kidnapped girls and Jodi Arias trial, including the scroll. I think you're making these issues up.

Is that Peter Robinson's body double?

Countersue. Countersue. Countersue.

Get a good lawyer. Take it to top if you have to. Sue the individual bureaucrats involve. Since, by their definition, you don't have freedom of association, they don't have protections based on their employer.
