I grew up in St. Louis and attended Mizzou earning a BSBA Economics Cum Laude and a commission in the US Navy in 1989. I earned my Naval Aviator Wings in 1991 and flew TA-4J, F-14A, and F-16CJ. I have over 1,700 hours in tactical aircraft, 326 carrier landings (115 at night) and 76 missions over Iraq in the 90's.
I separated honorably in 1998 and went to work in oil and gas exploration and production then into high tech manufacturing in Austin, and finally owned a trucking company I voluntarily closed in 2009. I earned my MBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007.
Since 2009 I have remained independent trading futures and futures options for my own account, doing economic analysis emphasizing energy, and drilling logistics consulting for major E&P companies.
I registered with the CFTC as a Commodity Trading Advisor in 2013 and run separate accounts for my firm Blacklion Capital Management.
I was married from 99-02. I have a teenage daughter from a previous relationship. I came to Christ in 2009 (no coincidence to closing the business). I am single and live in Dallas Texas.
