Bio

I grew up in upstate New York (Glens Falls) for the most part, on a dairy farm.  It wasn't until I read the book of Romans against the advice of the Army Chaplain that I began to seek understanding and live responsibly.

The truth hurts but truth is necessary and enlightening. Likewise, such news illustrates the chasm between a traditional Christianized society which  stands on God's revelation, recognizes man's fall in Adam, exhorts repentance with faith in Jesus Christ, the second birth and restrains evil and encourages good.  The last verse of Romans 12 exhorts not being overcome by evil but overcoming evil with good!

Surely we must recognize that most evils done to people is by their own government. Thus, we should recognize and value the great advantage of the Constitution and limited government that our forefathers gave us. Likewise recognize the obvious threats to our safety, wellbeing and future under Obama's vision. More, recognize what foreigners have seen from afar ... the beacon of light, freedom and a future that traditional America has rightly been.

Likely we must warn that today we are one election away from a great slide towards Socialist and atheistic Europe and the brutality of North Korea. Without a return to traditional Christian character, opposing opinions rule and ruin.

Finally, how different are N. Korea, China and most of Africa's governments?

Be Worried?  Indeed, it is no laughing matter. The respect for property, law and order that we rightly expect under the Constitution is daily mocked by our American Justice Department and Mr. Holder to say nothing about Mr. Obama's open contempt for the Constitution, Congress, property and law and order.

You do focus on a major issue that all good men see. Now, Mr. Holder and the Democrats hypocritically rail against photo Id at the polls as some scheme against the poor, non-white and lonely. But, like their exposed Fast and Furious scheme, they will fail ... even though the House is so reluctant to impeach Obama and bring charges against Mr. Holder. Their days are limited.

The good news: I believe most fellow Americans regardless of their age, color or financial status still see what we see and how we see it. By God's mercy and grace, good men will stand, do their duty and most will vote against evil. Is it simplistic to ask, Why were the Westerns, Clint Eastwood and Reagan's GE program so popular? They wanted good to succeed and evil to fail.

What ever happened to free, responsible and descriptive speech?

I'm with those who find RINO informative.

Someone asked if there were any reason to vote in November.

The Community Organizers know the answer. Voters can replace the President, elect conservative Senators and Representatives and turn toward responsibility, Constitutional government and a better future under the Living God of Creation. But, we must fire President Obama via the voting booth.

Will I support Mitt Romney. I will now. I also suspect with the turn of Primary events that a multitude of Conservatives will.

I surely concur with both comments except it was a serious and wrong move.

Perhaps a recruit I would severely dress down but not a non-commissioned officer.  Of course he was frustrated and angry. But, will he join with those to fire on Ft. Sumter and thus the Union because they can't win in the Congress?

It's noteworthy that our colonial leaders worked long and hard to avoid the separation from England. And in the Declaration of Independence they set forth their grievances. Like President Obama, the powerful King was the lawbreaker.

Sounds good.  I recently was writing an article  which I may have to include as an informed current reference:

Government Vs. Liberty, sub-title: Buying blind loyalty and votes with more dishonest, immoral promises and envy

As our forefathers recognized, understood and explained in the Declaration of Independence and provided for in our short written Constitution, the only safe and legal government in America for Americans is a strictly limited government with specified divided powers and a people properly schooled in Law, Liberty and Self-Control under the Creator God. See Shredding the Constitution, AmThinker.com, 4/187/12,  by Janet Levy  and Excerpts from Romney’ Speech to the NRA

Because of human nature’s natural born proclivity to blind, selfish, immoral, arrogant and destructive self-love properly identified as envy, as government grows the God-given rights and freedoms of the American people decline exponentially!

Great post. Thoughtful comments also. I've forwarded the post to my nephew and others.

Thanks.

Such are the neighborhoods that we live in. But, note, many of us seek to show proper respect. Those easily offended will usually continue so.

I appreciate the comments such exemplifies Romans 12:21 and God does bless such.

Great and timely example.  Basic to good living. I'm wrestling teaching and applying the adverse consequences of instant gratification in my local community group, Sunday School class and professional trade group.  The teenage and adult marshmallows are so much bigger!

As a traditional Baptist Bible believer, Like M. Luther, I am persuaded that self-control is a basic part of conversion, growth and necessary profession of faith at all ages.

With my decades of experiences and the evidences that surround us, self-control is an on-going choice with visible consequences. The nurture of good and diligent parents is obvious and perhaps easier in some ways. However, whatever the age, there is no substitute for identified standards, relevant teaching with such great examples as the marshmallows and four year olds and exhortations to overcome evil with good.

Thanks Mollie
