Horn players have somehow managed to convince the world that their instrument is so incredibly challenging that we should all be awed (and thankful) when they manage to play right notes. This brainwashing has been so complete and effective that nobody dares to question it.

However, if the trumpets screw up an entrance...

I actually do know several people who find the iPad most useful, even for work related purposes. I am not one of those people! I have no idea what I would do with one. Between my Macbook Pro and my iPhone 4S and my iPod Nano (for the gym), I am pretty much set.

Oh dear, maybe I am a pod person after all.

I'm betting that college students will no longer be "among the presidents' most motivated supporters" this time around. While there was a pretty impressive after-party the night of 11/04/08, I remember observing that enthusiasm had already noticeably dimmed by inauguration.
