A section of the sky about the size of a football field fell in a cornfield early this morning on a farm near my house.    During breakfast, several more pieces dropped suddenly on the state park not far from here and I could hear muffled thuds as more and more fragments peeled away from the firmament and crashed to Earth.  I went out on my deck just before sunrise and looked up.  Where the Big Dipper used to be there is now nothing at all.  Judging from the activity over the past few hours, I expect the enitre sky will have fallen in about 13 hours.

Trust history:  leftists despise God and the Judeo Christian culture and always are dilligently working to eradicate it.  As a socialist, one of Adolph Hitler's wars was against Christianity, as he  tried to paint himself into a living replacement of it for the consumption of the German people.  Socialism was deliberately created to replace Christianity by people such as Auguste Comte,  Henri de Saint-Simon and J.J. Rousseau.  They actually saw it as a religion with death being the ultimate penalty for heresy.  It is almost amusing now to watch Democrats struggle with their age old enemy, God,  while struggling to continue goosestepping for their constituents.

Romney stood his ground.  Did not pander.  Did not put on a hair shirt.  Did not self-flaggelate in guilt expiation.  Did not talk with a black accent.  Did not play the "I'm-in-the-back-of-the-bus-with-you" card.  Did not apologize.  If it's a grovelling, white politician you want bring out Bill or Hillary or John McCain or, better yet, the gold-medal, all-time poster boy for pandering,  Nobel Gore himself.

Thanks Arahant and Carver.  Roberts is a totally repugnant traitor and  justly belongs in that hall of infamy.  As for the "other side", there can be no shame.  Even my dog knows and feels shame but these people have had it washed out of them by cultural Marxism.

Two things come to mind:

1.  Regarding Obama:  "The shallower the pond the muddier the water."

2.  Regarding Colbert:  "Mockery is the wit of the stupid."

No, wait.  Make that three:

"Things which already are as funny as they're going to get can not be parodied."

Two of my great grandfathers were infantry officers in the Confederate Army, both saw the horror of war up close and each, needless to say,  respected the Confederacy and its stunningly beautiful flag.  I grew up with that same respect.  But the flag is ours no more.  It belongs to the skinheads, the nazis and the tatoo parlors of an incredibly sad,  downward evolution in the culture.  We are fortunate today to be Americans  living under the Star Spangled Banner, cultural rot notwithstanding.   The American flag stands for a singularity in human events and is today the only flag which lays claim to the affection of all Americans, manifestly including  Southerners, despite the siren call of a  Confederate past and the lovely standard its soldiers carried into war.
