Bill Clinton is a magician at media manipulation, and let's face it, people like him.  He could pull the Michael Vick manuever with the family dog and people would ask, "What did the dog do?" 

I often use "If we built a large wooden badger" when we're bored in the car or when doing projects around the house and things are'nt going quite as planned.

Lance,  This was a fun one for me to read.  It really is a sort of bittersweet time isn't it?  My kids are all so far beyond what you're going through with your girls, but I can certainly look back with fondness at the time when my son was receiving attention from the little girls and while it was "just the cutest thing" it began a whole new set of worries.

My husband and I grew up in very different households.   His dad would routinely go out to the bar with the guys and then come home to a nagging wife who would berate him until he was so enraged that he would hit her, and then my husband, being the oldest of 3 boys and 3 girls would have to step in to stop their violence.   The dysfunction of his family left him with the impression that if a man doesn't beat up his wife he was a good husband, and if the wife knew when to keep her trap shut, she was a good wife.   You can threaten all you want, but don't hit.  Whatever the legal definition of abuse is, being threatend with violence or abandonment is no way to live, especially when there are kids involved.

I don't know how you would even prepare (without the setbacks that have already occured for Obama in the first debate) with the Town Hall Meeting format unless you get to stack the people who are asking the questions.  You just don't know what you're going to get.   I hope team Romney does their best to prepare and I hope Obama is distracted by thoughts of his first bubblebath in his new beachfront home.
