did you ever think that perhaps Marco Rubio does not believe the billions-year theory of the age of the earth?  I do not.  I assume it was created in six days because the Creator said so.  Until another eye-witness comes out with a book to the contrary, I'll go with that.  The larger point is it does us no good to fight on that turf, and our folks should merely get up and leave when irrelevant questions like that come up for the sole purpose of later spin.  I think Marco did everything he could but get up and leave.

This is so silly.  Why is it characterized as secession petitions from "the States."  I do not believe that any of these requests have come from state legislatures or officials, but merely from citizens within the several states. Nonetheless,  what about the petitions arising from the "Reconquista" and "Baja del Norte" movements?  Can we ridicule them just as heartily?

Just as i was getting bullish based on the horribly flawed CNN poll and rasmussen's +1.  Only bourbon will smooth out my mood swings.  What time is it?

I know, I know.  I've started drinking already.  I am clinging desperately to the "fundamentals," the lead with independents, the early voting trends, and the fact that Americans cannot be that stupid twice.

Rob Long's pessimism leaves, just as mine -- thanks to Rasmussen -- re-appears.  I must say, I am quite nervous.  Had Romney held a 2 point lead or more in Rasmussen, I would feel good.  A tie, I do not feel good.

Just as a nation without borders is not a nation, a language without a prescriptive dictionary is not a language.  I hate websters third.

McCain is flat wrong.  It is both a massive cover-up and disabling incompetence.

If Obama gets re-elected the Senate is unlikely to go to the GOP, but even if it did,  there is no way he gets impeached, on this or any other basis.  The GOP got burned on the last justified impeachment,. and will not do it again.  Instead, we will have gridlock and rampant issuance of executive orders and administrative regulations.
