Reagan-era Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill has some words of wisdom, courtesy of "Da Tech Guy",

This is not an accident, the left understand that talk of impeachment now would be a disaster, not to the president, but to those building the case against him.

As Tip O’Neill notes [in his biography] public opinion led the congress on impeachment.  [Nixon-era] Democrats were hesitant to move forward until polls showed otherwise.

For those of us trying to keep track, suffering from age, work and marriage induced "CRS" (Can't Remember $417 - grin), please add the following other scandals:

  1. Pigford, (in honor of Brietbart)
  2. Fast 'n Furious (2 feds dead, hundreds of mexicans dead, etc)
  3. notRecess NLRB/CFPB Appointments (2 for 2 ruled unconstitutional)
  4. Green Energy Stimulus Bankruptcies (e.g. Solyndra, Fisker, A123, etc)
  5. EPA (e.g. FOIA Fee favoritism, crucifixion policy, ...)
  6. Obama's News Media Enemies List (e.g. AP bugging, Fox/CBS bugging, etc)

The alleged six-month plan by the "Brothers Tsarnaev" may have involved TWO bombing rehearsals, both several weeks prior to the April 15th Boston Marathon Patriots Day based on circumstantial evidence:

  1. Twitter tweets by and amongst associates of the "Brothers Tsarnaev"
  2. late-March news reports in Hanover, MA of "Explosives cause concern in Hanover"

The first incident was reported at 8:34 p.m. on March 12 with two explosions. Several unexploded devices were found at the scene and later detonated under secure conditions by the State Police Bomb Squad.

The second incident was reported a few days later at 7:49 p.m. on March 15. The second incident was near the first.

Details behind the above, with links to specific tweets and specific news reports, can be found in the "Jester's Court" blog post  "Boston Marathon Bombing: Just a hunch."

Sarah Palin - IMHO, outsider looking in (I want to be proven wrong), Sarah Palin was on the verge of announcing her candidacy at the last possible moment, recalling her visits to Iowa, generating free media coverage, etc. HOWEVER, I think her team discovered late in the game that Team Palin had missed some requirements (e.g. prerequisites for getting on the New Hampshire primary ballot). Consequently, I think they conduct a strategic withdrawal. Had she announced, then later the media 'discovered' she wasn't going to be on the New Hampshire ballot, then yes it would be Dresden + Tokyo + "Totally Blonde" thrown in. This is similar to how Newt's team apparently discovered they had missed the requirements for getting on the Virginia primary ballot, making him look like he didn't have his act together.

Social Issues - the only people talking about 'social issues' were Team Obama and their media surrogates. Gov Romney from liberal Massachusetts was not going to upend the 'social issue' apple cart status quo. Team Obama flogged the (non)issue to death in order to both turn out his base and to turn off  'moderates' leaning toward Romney.

Never mind. Move along now. Nothing to see here.
Looking at California AB459
This bill would ratify a specified interstate compact that requires the chief election official of each signatory state to appoint the slate of presidential electors that was nominated in association with the presidential ticket that received the largest national popular vote total.
This compact would only become effective if states cumulatively
possessing a majority of the total electoral votes have ratified the compact.
Although this is not the text from the CAdotGOV website; it appears the California law will not take effect until a majority of other states pass similar laws.

What truth is there to the idea that Romney could win the popular vote, loose the electoral college on election night, yet win the electoral college a week later due to various National Popular Vote laws passed in various states, like California (55 electoral votes). I ran across this tidbit on another blog describing California passing such a National Popular Vote law http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2011/08/08/californias-popular-vote-bill-signed-into-law/

Still catching up, just finished the "Andrew" podcast. More Star Trek discussions (The Original Series - ToS) with equal measure of Monty Python please.

If you suffer repeated sinus infections (or this is the start of repeated sinus infections), consider the possibility you have a dental problem where an abscessed tooth is leaking into a sinus rather than into the oral cavity. This would particularly be the case if you suffered a dental injury years before.

Picture a "gum bubble" (dentist talk for a zit on your gum) leaking infection into the mouth, requiring an dental apico & root-canal procedure.

Now instead of a "gum bubble" picture a "sinus bubble" where the infection is leaking into a sinus cavity, infecting the sinus with bacteria.

Your sinus infection may clear but it may then reoccur because the underlying cause remains untreated.
