Does anyone recall when Du Pont  lossed their patent on CFC causing aerosols? These same scientists were hired by the government to say how much damage CFCs cause. And make them illegal to protect Du Pont's alternitive. Global warming! Remember in the 70s? The next ice age! Now of course they're not sure. Global climate change! The sad part is that there are enough stupidly ignorant people to give this movement an audience.

I may be a liberal from Mass. but at least I'm not as bad,  as our current Chicago a**!!

Of course, this is all about quantity over quality. The louder the media bangs the drum of irrelevant crap the more desperate they sound but its the 4th quarter, on the one yard line. Why is the left  so shrill when they know they have unlimited downs to push it over the line? Because they are so close. Victory is in their grasp, to "fundamentally change this country."   And they have.  We are in the most danger our country has seen since the Civil War. Not from idiot quotes or opinions, but from ignorant audiences and the silencing of the truth.

I certainly did enjoy all the squirming on MSNBC  this weekend. Their lefty roundtable tried their best to minimize her but she is so good they couldn't help but like her. Of course the Republican Party hates her too but  it's the same reason the left does.  They both fear a strong articulate conservative.

And yes, I think Obama knows the Constitution very well.  Knowing your enemy is the first rule of war. You find his weaknesses and play your strengths against them. His audience is ignorant, apathetic and above all, the majority. He also has tens of millions of voters in vested interest. Can these strengths be overcome?   Our biggest strengths are the truth and the law but if no one cares for truth or understands the laws how do we use that strength? Maybe we should encourage the left in its mission so the collapse/revolution comes sooner. Our delay progressively enslaves us. Our winning move would be to make sure the revolution is successful following the fall, but also to make sure there is a fall. Look for a Reichstag burning in October if it looks like Obama might lose. The final Putsch is on.

What really galls me is that the Oath is even bothered with anymore. They obviously don't feel any obligation to it. The Supreme Court has been the vehicle used for a long time to dismantle the limits placed on  Government.  They have continually ruled that our laws are to be interpreted in any way they please, and in doing so, they have inadvertently signaled their own irrelevance. What use is an interpretive "Check" on power? None. The Left has used the Court for decades to justify it's  schemes but now no longer needs it. I don't think this is a "hail mary" to save an unpopular law, it is a final push to take  all the power and eliminate any checks to the "Plan" for our slavery. Oops,  silly me, I meant our utopia.

Islamist terror has killed more Muslims than anyone else. Sunnis vs. Shiites yadda yadda. So a country of terrorists want a nuke to destroy their neighbors? What do we do? Big shocker, appeasement doesnt work. Never has,  just ask history. We have a decent size army right next door and could wipe these idiots off the map in a matter of weeks. Are we really ok with Iran commanding the region? Of course the Jews would be completely destroyed.  What are the ultimate results of appeasement? Abandonment of friends and more death and loss than if we just went to war.  Why are we so afraid of empire? If we refuse to lead we will have to follow. So how do you win at chess? The best defense is a relentless offense with victory as the final goal. Lets play.

I must side with the people and the states on this one. Once again the most important amendment to the Constitution is forgotten in the argument.  We have a 10th amendment for a good reason. To check the power of the Feds. They have no right to enact laws that are outside of their charter. Of course that makes 90% of what they do illegal.  Many of them have chosen ideology over the law. When will we hold as traitors those who take the oath to protect and defend our Constitution? Of course that means death to 100% of Democrats and 90% of Republicans.  Sounds like a good start.

Nothing is free from regulation, taxation and even outright suppression. This is really getting ridiculous. I don't want anarchy but a good healthy revolution now and then... I am sick of watching my neighbors lose their jobs and homes while hearing that government workers have guaranteed credit. I am ready to hear about how tough it is for 20 million fired government employees to find work.

I do think that conservative and libertarian thoughts are often split on the issues of justice. And also what that means in application. Persuading a criminal to live within society's expectations doesn't work without the threat of force. The more swift and sure that force the less it is really is necessary. The threat we potentially pose to each other and our property requires society to set boundaries of conduct. Around our world as well as at home. Freedom and "republican" forms of government should be encouraged everywhere. Especially here. Isolation is more dangerous than action, just ask Chamberlain or Clinton. Criminals like Hitler and Bin Laden make their choices and without justice they are free to thrive. I'm not saying we need to be the world's policeman but sometimes, we should be a big nightstick, and speak softly.

Now of course the Justice Department will sue and sue when Timken dares to try to relocate to a Right to Work state. Way to go Ohio!! Don't worry, you'll keep getting your unemployment checks, and welfare, and housing, and healthcare, etc. etc...

I have not seen this film as yet so I will reserve my critique but raycon has a good point. Hollywood has so rarely portrayed historical figures correctly. With a few shining exceptions of course. Gathering Storm is at the top. I also enjoyed Brian Kieth's rendition of Teddy Roosevelt in The Wind and the Lion. Maybe not as historically correct but from my studies a well done portrayal of his style.                       "Hollywood" of course, has had an agenda to promote a certain view of the world. The fortunate thing is that most of those who go see "Iron Lady" will be fans of the P.M. for good reason. So a poor job will be seen and understood as such.                               I enjoyed Streep's portrayal of Julia Childs very much and she might do well as the Iron Lady. Whether Hollywood meant to or not they put her back in the news and I enjoy her rise again.
