Peter: I saw the movie on Wednesday, and I too was taken. The movie has filled my thoughts for the last 36 hours. I read the same posts regarding best translations, and I'm settling on the Denny translation, available on my Kindle Fire. I look forward to reading your further thoughts on the movie. A portion of my observation is that in the Bishop we have a wonderful picture of God, grace and the church--absent in movies and TV today. A suggestion: listen to the book via Audible, and maybe James will stop knocking you for only listening to the Master and Commander series.
