I am with the market sages. All those fantastic profit increases at the manufacturers means they are gearing up fast to get the growth.

Once geared up , we should see some supply and demand forces come into play and then leveling off to former price levels.

Doc

Use the closet light, you don't want to grab your waders when you're looking for your "assless chaps" .

And I don't mean anything by "closet light" !

The kepi would look good with the chaps, sort of a Beau Geste theme.

DocJay: Larry, does once make me gay? · 22 minutes ago

Once did. But all those times afterward sealed the deal. · 4 minutes ago

Hey, novitate jumping in to defend the Doc, do not mess with him.

He can write scripts for one, put a hook in your lip number two, and lives in range of small, affordable casinos and abandoned goldmines.

You know , I may not know how to play the game, but that has never stopped me before . I have swallowed golf balls, thrown candy from helicopters at poor Iraqi farmers , and harassed elephants with propane blasts in a balloon. Jay is my homey and I'm sorta sure he's not gay. Although the Vespa and the collector Carmichaels tend to the eclectic.

Ryan M: Hey, I thought that was one of my shorter essays!  :)

Looks longer because of the video.  But if you play it and start reading... you can just stop when the music ends and call it good. · 36 minutes ago

I know you write these for yourself, but I am looking for some give n take here. You know, some validation of your hard work , that somebody read and was motivated to dig deeper into the mental stylistics of Ryan M.

So ? The answers please.

Fricosis Guy: Hey, I was a Motor City Madman fanatic back when I thought I was a Leninist, so I guess music has redemptive power after all.

Always partial to MC5, if you want to talk Motor City madmen.

Kick Out the Jams, M**********r !

That was some serious rock n roll.

I always thought this was some of the best Beach music.

No margaritas, no guitars, no surfboards .

Please close your eyes and listen to this.

I always take this song with me when I go to a beach.

But there's always this eponymous ditty.

Merci Claude , Merci Django-

So, do you think the other side is more intransigent ?

And if they control the academia, do you agree that we control the business world ? And in view of that, we see the reason for the explosive growth of civil service ,don't we ? Do you think it is for any other reason than swelling the rolls ?

Now,back to brevity.

Yup.

Maybe he believes in the "Ye should be known by your works", rather than the architectural theory of religious salvation which says you have to frequently enter a certain building in order to gain salvation.
God must laugh at our intellectual posturing . If he laughs when he hears our plans, imagine the guffaws when he finds out what we have decided about the more spiritual matters in the universe ?

Cynical but pragmatic.

You can almost smell the flop sweat as he panics and tries to find some of his base, somewhere .

It's not as if he can start singing the Star Spangled Banner.

All he has at this point is his white flag. (the battle flag of progressives)

Sweden , welcome to France . They have been burning cars in France for almost two years now . The same "disaffected youths" . One can only imagine what the phrase is without it's PC codeword .

Didn't Jack Welch recommend a certain number of firings per year as a cathartic therapy for improving performance ? Sort of like a bell curve performance assessment . The USN does the same for pilots I think, probably saves alot of lives.

Wasn't he one of the recent best businessmen in the world ?

Oh nevermind, the government certainly doesn't care about efficiency and productivity.

OPM you know.

flownover: 13 years before MTV showed it's face, music videos were alot longer .

How about Yellow Submarine and Magical Mystery Tour ?

Actually, in the 1960s the short "music video" (as we know it) was quite popular in Europe, thanks to the Scopitone company that manufactured and distributed movie "jukeboxes".

The "Love For Sale" video by Frank Sinatra Jr. was a Scopitone production.

Other famous ones include These Boots Are Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra and Wonder Boy by Lesley Gore. · 38 minutes ago

Sorry Mist, I was thinking about cool videos.

The junior Sinatras are in a class by themselves. At least Lesley Gore appeared on Batman a couple of times as Pussycat.  I think I saw her do It's My Party on Shindig or something, maybe Andy Williams...

any old 45 spinners remember ?

It's a good thing for that shyster that he didn't do the interview in her studio, she would have come across the desk and walked him to the bus stop !
