David Williamson:

. . . and the inconvenient truth that the world is not warming.

Sadly, my European associates still believe in it quite firmly. I'm guessing they don't have much in the way of resistance to it. · 0 minutes ago

Other than it is now the Inconvenient Truth.  Sweet irony !

I am not sure if these guys take SNAP, but maybe ordering your food from a catalog would be cheaper if you didn't have to drive to the store.

And you would help save the planet ( smiley face here).

So, let's start with some protein.

They should save the merrymaking for the announcement of a successful job search.

And they might as well save their breath.

Any administration that just bumped the cost of carbon impact ( the microwave shuffle) can easily slipslide in to the nuclear disarming mode. And just as believably jump on their unicorn and bolt over the rainbow !

Fantasy for everyone .

Amy, I will show up for a toenail clipping if there's food. How about Vietnamese ? I spend alot of time in Tasty Thai on 72nd up north. I know some joints in the Argentine for Mexican and some in the bottoms whose outside appearance would scare you. I thought you might be a member of the River Club...just kidding.

Sounds like you're right up the hill from Southwest Blvd too ? Lots of choices there.

Lots of time till then. Heart going to be in town ?

And so what begins ? Your indoctrination to the general political viewpoints of the majority of America's public school teachers ? Your realization that we need to mentor our children to be selective about the culture and the media because they lie ?

Your search for a better school ? How do you successfully stand between your child and the world. The world wants her to not listen to you about anything, the government has everything she needs. And if she wants to live like the people in Detroit, she is welcome to it. If she has more ambition, they will welcome her to Washington where she can work for them. Everything else is discouraged.

Good luck.

100 joints to choose from.

At least. I was always fond of the surroundings, like LCs, original Bryants, Gates at 47th and Paseo. Unfortunately I don't think that Okla Joes would be conducive to conversation. The Jack Stacks at Freight House is big.

Should be nice and hot, let's go inside. July 5th looks ok at this point.

I think everything needs to be put into prospective. When have we ever had a secure border ? Who was in charge of expelling the transgressors ?

What is the time change from bracero to dream program ?

What is the political agenda ?

Why are border states blindly neglecting the impact and trying to upstream the responsibility ? Do they think they can offset the costs ?

And of course, why is California insane ? And what kind of acid just never stops ?

Have we "seen " it ?

Yes, and we enjoyed it mightily.

Especially the last quote.

Will it get any traction ? Nope.

Unless you send it to as many of your African American friends as possible. Get ready for the "Uncle Tom" cursing.

You will love this article.  They suggest making him the head of the RNC . Darned good idea.

We need to work on the language of change. A word for the planned execution of various chambers of commerce that waste money trying to reverse the inexorable economic progress that dooms towns is needed.

In Missouri, the river in my area has a better way. My area is dotted with towns that showed once great promise : Weston, Oregon, Forest City, New Boston, all within a 100 miles, once sat on the banks of the economy's main vein of commerce, the river. Then the river flooded, cut a few meanders out and moved as much as two miles away from the town.

That is a wonderful natural metaphor for what happens in the paper world. Like an interstate highway passing by the town, leaving one exit 2 miles away.

Sometimes I think Ricochet was setup as a peanut gallery to watch the GOP melt.

Hopefully it's collective nature has a solution to rebuilding a conservative movement without the odious components of wackodom.

Like the tea party where I live. It is run by a motley collection of old Ross Perot types and cranky civic-sociopaths. This repels the rest of us.

But you have moved from NoCal to Oregon. Evidently, the introspection caused by the cooler climes is driving you into an existential crisis .

Take heart, Oregon as a whole is much worse than California, but has more money. You can be effective if you use your experience to proselytize the locals. Beware Californians are losing. Tell them there is shale oil below. That'll freak 'em out.

Can't say enough good about the quality of City Journal. You are a lucky guy to be smart enough to be cruising in that highflying aerie of eagles .

California is going to have it's reckoning day and will revel in it's pain.

Detroit with a beach. The people they graduate out of the state and Calpers like Angelides are the leaders of a very dangerous clerisy. Podesta, Burkett, and the rest are great examples of the new corruption that endangers us all. And I didn't even go to Silicon Valley ( cause I don't want my pc to break unexpectedly).

Lots of media conflation about this. After reading this by Christian Adams, I am tempted to think that Scalia was crafty and Thomas was true. And they were both doing the right thing .

Isn't it all moot in the face of the lumbering monster that Schumer and Rubio are trying to wedge into the room ?

So Putin is the new  Mike Ovitz ?

Seagal is pretty good at collateralizing his relationships.

Someone needs to do a freedom chart of the world's countries.

Having done that informally for the last 20 years, considering the possible move away from my homeland reluctantly. At least I have a high standard to qualify the countries, and New Zealand and Costa Rica looked the most inviting. The countries have gotten less attractive in the last 20 years, at about the same pace as the USA , so the exercise approaches pointlessness.

Now the tipping point is approaching with countries that tried socialism and are turning back to free market looking better. Trouble is, their immigration qualification threshold has become exponentially higher, as it should.
