Bio

Raised as a Navy brat I primarily grew up in Newbury, MA which is a coastal fishing village.  I've worked as a carny and a polymer chemist for the Navy but as my handle indicates I am an M.D., (LSU alumni).  I worked as an internal medicine doctor but now do private medicine.  I have a wonderful wife and 5 kids, ages 5-23.   I enjoy mtn biking, skiing, shooting, fly fishing and basically all outdoor activities.   I love sports but especially delight in football and hockey for viewing while also living vicariously through my kids.   We are Christians but are accepting of all viewpoints on life that aren't mean.  The whole idea of an internet life is new to me and I wear my heart on my sleeve when I'm not making stupid jokes.  I believe that our country is fiscally doomed if we do not defeat Obama and his progressive ideology.

Remember the scene where the Hulk just bashes the Thor planet evil dude to death? Obama could do that to an old crippled lady and 1/2 the population would not care. Yes Atkisson is big. All the scandals are big. If no one is prosecuted it means the GOP is corrupt and complicit.

I've learned to live with that season too. I wasnt over it until the Sox won the world series though. Sports are awesome.

DocJay

Awesome Fricosis. Thanks. I speak the international language of love though. Speak it with a blue glove.

DocJay

Snirtler, that's where I got the line. You're on to me.

DocJay

You won't change so any advice is like a busted pencil, pointless. First impressions are critical and yours says picky, high maintenance, and definitely not easy to live with.

I had a man wear a kilt to a prostate exam. He just flipped it up. We should visit Pseudo.

Mike LaRoche: Great post!  Wish I could have gone to one of the NBA Finals games to cheer for my Spurs, but attending a second Nationals game this coming Sunday will have to suffice. · 32 minutes ago

Good luck tonight.  I expect a close game.

DocJay: I think it's made me a better and more thoughtful person.   I quit dry firing weapons at the television.

Isn't that like bad for the springs in the gun or something? · 25 minutes ago

Not revolvers.

DocJay

I don't like the idea at all.

I think it's made me a better and more thoughtful person.   I quit dry firing weapons at the television.

I also realize I don't fit in anywhere but here.  I'm  a partial SoCon, partial libertarian, non squish that dislikes chatting with idiots (especially progressives) unless it's in the context of helping their medical issues.

He's better than Christie.  Beyond that I have little faith.

DocJay: CJ, the people in Chicago were very very welcoming. I'd welcome you here as well. I'd have loved to have spent more time with you and RiC but it was a romantic kind of weekend. I'm pretty sure I could handle the upper level. Most guys blow off a little steam and calm down. This lady next to me was a first. No interest at all in the game. · 16 hours ago

So you took her to ahockey game?  For our upcoming 40th anniversary on the day of Mollie's, I'm taking Rubber Duckie to a football game.  At Wembley.

Nowthat'sromantic. · 2 hours ago

Well we also went to a fancy French place, the Book of Mormon, The art institute for hours, shopped, Italian food,  Rickshaw rides discussing architecture, Lake Michigan and the Field Museum.

I'm sure she'd have been fine sans hockey.  Deep down inside I'm shallow.  Go Bruins!!!!!

DocJay

Nice but sobering.

I'm off this weekend to go fishing with an 87 year old tail gunner from the Pacific Theater 1945.  I'm bringing my 18 year old son who aspires to be a Navy officer.   Maybe I'm the freak who clings to the same stuff you believe in TR but I still think there are enough of us to make a difference.  We shall see.

DocJay

So incredibly gorgeous. Life is what you make of it for the most part. You are very blessed.

DocJay

I like the LaRoche Law. Make the government try it at the point of a gun. If we don't have this fight within 15-20 years, we'll never have it.

DocJay

That would have never happened in Boston, Detroit, or anywhere in Canada.
