Bio

Raised as a Navy brat I primarily grew up in Newbury, MA which is a coastal fishing village.  I've worked as a carny and a polymer chemist for the Navy but as my handle indicates I am an M.D., (LSU alumni).  I worked as an internal medicine doctor but now do private medicine.  I have a wonderful wife and 5 kids, ages 5-23.   I enjoy mtn biking, skiing, shooting, fly fishing and basically all outdoor activities.   I love sports but especially delight in football and hockey for viewing while also living vicariously through my kids.   We are Christians but are accepting of all viewpoints on life that aren't mean.  The whole idea of an internet life is new to me and I wear my heart on my sleeve when I'm not making stupid jokes.  I believe that our country is fiscally doomed if we do not defeat Obama and his progressive ideology.

That was great.

My best friend from high school joined Rico. He doesn't post though. I was a Clipper, as in clipper ship.

Just delightful cowboy. The road broke my kid, he took a local job. I have a new appreciation for your world. Have a great time in granola world.

Susan, I can do it. Years of practicing Toy Boat three times fast had honed the tongue to finely tuned instrument. There's a soft ball Larry.

I used to call it "Ron Jeremy" but you can call it "no life".

Valiuth, something about the information age may be at play but I think a unique combination of incompetence and arrogance have brought this upon them. Eric Jablow, I like it!

DocJay

That five times fast. Did it. B's win woo hoo.

This was a speech to Germany and the international banking houses more than anything else I think. The Pope sees suffering coming for Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece far worse than currently. I believe he's asking for this crisis to be resolved with a minimum of suffering. Is this possible without handing the kids and unborn of those countries even greater suffering?

I read the whole tamale and thanks for title meme :). Now I have some observations about the analysis. John make the observation.."One of the most marked (but also least remarked upon) features of the 2008 financial crisis was the low commercial morality it revealed, reflecting a low social morality, on the part of both market participants and government regulators. That decline in morality meant that the agency principle, which is fundamental to any complex system, did not operate as it should. And that is a continuing and fundamental problem — a cancer of free-market capitalism, so to speak, but a disabling disease under any system. Consider its effects: Clients could not rely on brokers to represent their interests; the public could not rely on regulators to represent the public interest (or “the common good”)". I would describe this not as a cancer OF free market capitalism but ON free market capitalism. The same mentality that loaned money to folks who could never pay it back in 08 here is what has driven the EU to the brink. The same banksters at the top and fools at the bottom and parasites all twixt the process are present.

I said I'd listen to my wife ET. I asked her. She said she'd go.

Flight of the Conchords were hilarious. Denise, I don't have an answer but noticed it too.

DocJay

Heck TR, someone's gotta class the place up.

DocJay

They have no shame. I think a list of names and addresses should be published of these commies. When the zombie apocalypse happens I'm going to feed these guys to my new pets.

DocJay

I hope so SP. These issues have me worked up. I can't understand why someone who dearly loves our country won't stand up.

DocJay

Severely Ltd, you also mean ditto on the wife. Fess up.

In honor of Right In Chicago...Comfortably Numb is about how I was election night.
