Someone just told me this joke and immediately thought of Tiger. Kudos.

EJHill:Police: Mrs. Woods, how many times did you hit your husband with the golf club?

Elin:Oh, just put me down for a five... · 9 hours ago

Ever since I was a little girl I have watched and rooted for Tiger and that hasn't changed. His personal life is his personal life and 924 days later, Tiger showed the world that he is still the same ol' Tiger we rooted for back in the day. His smile was genuine, he had good manners and he wore his traditional red shirt. That's all I care about.

I hope Tiger dominates at the Masters!

The cost of all those rounds of golf he has played could easily help lower gas prices...!

Some tips that actually help with gas mileage. Every little thing counts!

Liar Liar

Greta: Mr. Reede, several years ago a friend of mine had a burglar on her roof, a burglar. He fell through the kitchen skylight, landed on a cutting board, on a butcher's knife, cutting his leg. The burglar sued my friend, he sued my friend. And because of guys like you *he won*. My friend had to pay the burglar $6,000. Is that justice?

Fletcher: No!
[Greta looks pleased, but then Fletcher continues]

Fletcher: I'd have got him ten.
[Greta stalks off, appalled]

Andrea Ryan: And CuriousJohn, you MUST watch The Voice. It blows away American Idol. I think it does, anyway. :-) · 2 hours ago

Definitely more "real" than American idol which has a lot more to do with looks and lack of talent (give or take a few rare gems) as opposed to The Voice which is more about talent rather than looks. Adam Levine is also nice to look at...

Not really impressed.

Maybe it was because I was with a loud group of friends and couldn't hear everything. Maybe it was because I am studying marketing and now I am extremely critical and would have done things differently. Or maybe it was because a lot of the car commercials had been leaked prior to the game.

I was also a bit disappointed with the 2012 Volkswagen commercial when comparing it to their emotional Star Wars commercial from last year, but the music made me smile!

I was recently at a friends house and she showed me a social media site called Reddit (founded in 2005). In particular, there is an "IAmA" message board where people will post about their lives/jobs because they think their lives/jobs are interesting, and in return, members will then comment and ask questions in the hopes of getting an honest answer. It is mind boggling that sites like this have such a huge amount of "followers" (millions!), yet this is the world as we know it today and I am sure it will become even more strange. I would agree that bombing railway tracks would have been a questionable tactic, but bombing the major depots, the switching stations and other infrastructure targets would have diverted the Nazis time and resources and perhaps might have given most of my family and other families hope. (Claire, you were not evasive! I was just adding another perspective to the conversation.)

If you look at the aerial maps of where the allies were bombing during the second world war, it is clear that the major train depots were all within bombing range. Had the allies bombed the depots thousands of lives would have been spared. In one of Ellie Wiesels memorable speeches he reminded us that US policy at the time, was "to not utilize essential military equipment for non essential non military matters". Maybe it's time for our generation to view the film Gentleman's Agreement, which describes the extent of antisemitism in post war USA. As often said by historians: "If we do not learn from the past, then we are doomed to repeat it."

From Scott Garrett's website: “As a cosponsor of H.R. 91, the original version of Better Use of Light Bulbs Act, I support the repeal of the ban on incandescent light bulbs and fundamentally disagree with the federal government trying to restrict consumers’ choice.  Unfortunately, the bill we considered today was not the same as the bill I originally cosponsored.  When a new version of the legislation was introduced, a provision was added that would prohibit states from creating their own standards on light bulbs.  As Chairman of the Constitution Caucus, I cannot vote for a bill that infringes upon states’ rights and is in violation of the 10th Amendment of the Constitution.”

Dave Molinari: Over and over, I see blatant evidence that he is only the President for his supporters and not the nation.  I've never felt that way with any other president. We all know his most infamous quotes about punishing enemies and bus seating arrangements, but it goes beyond that.

Others alienated the opposition through their policies, but Obama seems to make extra effort to exclude his detractors as actual relevant citizens.  I never felt that way with Clinton or Carter and even though Bush did some things I hated, I always felt a genuine interest coming from him in his obligation to serving the entire nation. · Jun 26 at 6:30pm

Obama came to my hometown a few months ago for a fundraiser. $30,400.00 per person and didn't leave us a dime to repair the soccer field that his entourage destroyed.
