Remember NAMBLA, the man/boy love association?  Their motto was/is "Sex by 8 before it's too late".  Have we set our children up for the pedophiles or what.

I’m listening, and I’m left with the very uneasy feeling that those brave men were offered by the administration as an American sacrifice for the killing of bin Laden.  As a matter of fact, I had the same uneasy feeling when I first heard the news in August ’11.

Mollie, you're a dear.  Time for the final dust off of my post election blues.  I know I can make that happen at Kilroy's tomorrow.  My long suffering and sainted husband of 47 years this Tuesday, says he's glad I'm going, it's something I can look forward to, and I'll be easier to live with.  ;-)

See y'all there.

The population of the Earth, now at 7 billion, cannot keep doubling every 50 years.  Can not.  Whatever cannot go on, will not go on.  The question is whether the pruning will be by choice, or by war and starvation.

How is it that the population of the Earth will double in 50 years?  China, the most populous country, has a birthrate of 1.23.  India, the second most populous country, has a birthrate of 2.06.  Considering that replacement rate is considered to be 2.33, countries of the Western world are either at or below replacement rates. Germany and Japan are not alone in population decline.  Both China and India have larger populations than the continent of Africa.  How then do we double?

A heart felt welcome to the little guy and mega congratulations to mom, dad, and the siblings!

"Over a half century ago, while I was still a child, I recall hearing a number of old people offer the following explanation for the great disasters that had befallen Russia: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened." Since then I have spent well-nigh 50 years working on the history of our revolution; in the process I have read hundreds of books, collected hundreds of personal testimonies, and have already contributed eight volumes of my own toward the effort of clearing away the rubble left by that upheaval. But if I were asked today to formulate as concisely as possible the main cause of the ruinous revolution that swallowed up some 60 million of our people, I could not put it more accurately than to repeat: "Men have forgotten God; that's why all this has happened."  Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Looks like fun, albeit serious fun.  Lovely story for a Sunday afternoon.

It means that Obama has fundamentally changed the US of A.  We are now in an administrative state and he is the Prime Minister -- lookin' purdy at the parties, giving teleprompter speeches, and greeting guests at state banquets.  Department heads have now taken over responsibilities once in the domain of the once President of the United States.  Obama has kept his lofty campaign promise.

Happy Birthday, KC!  My sentiments exactly.

Thanks Skipsul.  I got a great morning chuckle from your story.  It's SO family life, or just life.  Keep on keeping on. There's enough anxiety out here over this election to fill in your gaps.

Schizo, I couldn't say, but what I'm seeing is a beautiful reflection of the Lebanese people. Liturgical song, prayer, cultural dance, and a lovely feel for the country.  Thousands of seemingly happy people.  Perhaps for a brief moment in time, a glimpse of what has been? Could be?

How absolutely beautiful, both Christian and his mom.

There was a piece by Lauren Green on the Fox nightly news with Brett Bair last night.  Lauren did a nice job, but there was no discussion by the panel.

The DC rally in front of HHS drew, I'd say, somewhere around 300 to 500.  Lovely day.  Energetic crowd.  Lots of moms with lots of kids.  Hoorah and Oorah for the moms!!
