What's the name of the closing tune?  It sounded like Loretta Lyn or Tammy Wynette singing.

I'm about to finish John Lescroart's new book:  Rasputin's Revenge.  It is Lescroart's second effort at using Sherlock Holmes and his Lescroart-created son Auguste Lupa.  This one takes place in Russia and involves the starets Rasputin in a mystery of several murders and imprisonment.

I second the Welcome as a native Mississippian who has returned to the Magnolia State five years ago until retirement.  Beautiful state, hospitable people and GREAT food!

Give me RESPECT any day or night; I've had professional success and some failures.  Respect doesn't spend, but it brightens memories and evens out the rough parts of life.

Much as I admire the work of Miniter; he has it wrong this time.  All his examples are about ongoing "military-style" engagements and fall under the rubric of "imminent threat," about which Paul does not disagree.  What Sen. Paul  is concerned about is  the potential for lethal action against citizens on the sole judgment of the President (and his minions) without the citizen having the protections of the Constitution.  Obeying the law may be a novel experience for the President, but he's sworn to do so.

I'd like some statistics on how many Ricochet meetups have been held since the early days of Ricochet.  Sorry, that I cannot attend the Nashville one.

I recommend the School of Accountancy of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS.  My father (Norman Kenneth Nail) helped to found it and was a practicing accountant in Mississippi for 45 years and a one-time President of the State Accountancy Association.  His dates are 1922-2004.

I suggest writing a one-paragraph summation of things you read; would be helpful in remembering not only the contents but the fact that you have read the item.

You have my vote.  Perhaps you could explain the usage of "twigged".  I have often heard or read it but do not know properly how to use it.

I'd like to see a televised program featuring the Ricochet hosts and the Trifecta team (Bill Whittle, Stephen Green, and Scott Ott) as a way of introducing the followers of PJTV to Ricochet and to encourage future joiint ventures.

Cannot find the link to allow me to hear the chat between Steyn, Goldbergt and Long; will it be posted later this week?

Druitt makes a wonderful fall guy for the Ripper role; he was a barister and after the last Ripper killing, killed himself.  Some writers associate him with the Duke of Clarence.

Thanks for the programming update and the new podcasts!  I still think an informal union with PJTV would benefit Ricochet and its members - some of the podcasts could also be telecast over PJTV.  In addition, I think a video/podcast "magazine" for members only or lurkers per instance would be a good marketing effort by Ricochet.

Ricochet can be part of the future by adding university-level lectures as an added service among its growing list of podcasts.  I'd like to hear Victor Davis Hanson for five lectures on military history and Andrew Klavan on writing.
