True for the "believers", David. But the squishy 10-15% who decided the election could have been swayed, imo.

I'm sure the professors are correct that the Benghazi misbehavior doesn't rise to "impeachable offense" in the real world.

But given that the cover-up very possibly denied a man the presidency who otherwise would have won it, it's certainly also true that the Benghazi lies should merit impeachment in a fair world. It's hard to imagine a more consequential fib than one that undermines the election of the leader of the free world.   

I agree with liberals that progressivity in the tax code is good, though not for their redistribute-the-wealth reason.

What liberals and conservatives alike fail to grasp is that wealth and income correlate with age, such that progressive taxes give breaks to each of us when we're young and poor -- that is, when we need it, when getting married, having kids, buying our first house, etc. -- and hit us with a greater burden when we're older, on our feet, earning more, and can better afford it. 

What's funny is when conservatives bemoan that our taxes are "more progressive than Europe's!", and then wonder why Europeans have fewer babies. Subsidizing youth, as we do here, might help.    

That said, taxes should be as low as possible. Natch.

The military stand-down was first a failure to immediately recognize the severity of the events, and then a crazy logic that a low-key response would somehow make the day's events less newsworthy. "Let's just keep this whole thing on the down-low", so to speak.

The "It's the video" cover-up was an attempt by Obama and Clinton to cover butts by muddying the waters -- to make the whole episode seem to be a confusing, chaotic, from-left-field, fustercluck tragedy. Totally unpredictable and unpreventable. To assess blame in such a case, Governor Romney!!!, would be petty and partisan.   

Only in Cleveland. The man is legend here already.

Sincere as hell. Notice he never blinks? Plus the most subtle comic timing. Perfect use of pause.

On the contrary, 10 Cents' humor is starting to grow on me. It took a while, but the relentlessness of it all is having an effect.

I don't know that you're missing anything, Jason, other than maybe this: Ultimately, the reason we likely won't get right-to-work here is because a majority of Ohioans don't want it, pure and simple. To wit: I got a union cop across the street, a retired union linesman catty corner, and a retired union fireman to my left -- from whom there's still unspoken resentment toward me because of my conspicuous support for Issue 2. Unionism is like a damn religion here.

Kasich frustrates me too, but he understands (now, after the humbling he took) that with public opinion all things are possible, but without it very little is.

That said, yes, if there's to be a push for right-to-work, it should be through a ballot initiative -- to give Republicans cover. Make it be the choice of the people. And it should be put off until Kasich's second term, since he'd be more inclined to sell it aggressively post-election (and understandably so, given the unions' gift for cynical misinformation).
