On Bill Bennet's radio show, I heard an interesting comparison of leadership styles as reflected by two historic documents: the letter Eisenhower drafted in case the D-Day invasion went badly (taking full responsibility) and the letter Leon Panetta wrote to authorize the taking of Bin Laden (covering the President's behind - which is apparently, his chief instrument of leadership)
