Franco, I don't listen to AC on a regular basis, rather I use his show as a backup when I'm waiting for fresh episodes from my favorites. I tried him because he's always listed as a top program at iTunes. He is often crass but entertaining and I like many, not all, of his topic choices. Some of the 20-30 year old men I work with who are not political listen to him and like his un-PC opinions. Another favorite is Russ Roberts' EconTalk. I learned of him from one of Need to Know episodes.

I enjoy Adam Corolla, Prager and Bill Bennett also. I use my iPod and have my earbuds in while puttering around the house and doing yard work. My TV rarely gets turned on anymore.

I listen to Rush mostly as 24/7 subscriber but catch him occasionally on the radio. I hate the commercials. I grew tired of Hannity long ago for reasons mentioned above. Levin is a jerk. I catch Dennis Miller on ocassion. Hugh Hewitt is the best interviewer bar non but I stopped subscribing to his podcast because I get tired of all his college and sports references. I love podcasts and Ricochet has an excellent assortment. Even though I don't like listening to ads in my personal life I'm a media buyer and I include Rush in my buys whenever I can. My clients get their best radio results from his program.

Have a wonderful time. It's too far away for me to make it from Vancouver on a Thursday night but I'm looking forward to the post event write up and photos.

Just liked Eden Foods on Facebook and am on my way to the grocery store to pick some of their products.

I enjoy that you manage to mention birds at least once per podcast.

Jo

I loved this podcast! Thank you.

I was a precinct committee woman in the past. I left the party the last time "comprehensive immigration reform" reared it's head, 5-6 years ago. I told them I'd rejoin and donate again just as soon as they got our borders secure and under control. Needless to say.....

My daughter taught in Abu Dhabi from Sept. 2009-Jan. 2012. Her position was teaching 2nd grade girls on an Emerati air force base. You could see photos and postings of the school and living experience on her blog www.battered-suitcases.com though you'd have to scroll back to that time era. Overall she found the experience interesting and Abu Dhabi is close enough to Europe, SE Asia, etc to where she managed to visit over 30 other countries during holidays. The traffic was terrible and teaching English to the kids and communicating with an Arabic speaking staff difficult. But she managed to bank a ton of money because they provided her furnished apartment, internet, and health care free of charge. Abu Dhabi and Dubai have very low crime rates and I never worried for her safety.Next year she's off to Morocco on a 2 year teaching contract.Good luck to you.

I'm disappointed in the lack of action taken after the panic of the site possibly folding. Several people have asked for a store icon to be placed prominently on the homepage and for the store to be fully stocked. Others have suggested different item be offered or rotated through. We would love to support the site with purchases but alas, it seems unimportant to those fretting about money just a few months ago. The next time they hit the all call siren I won't be sympathetic or eager to help. This post will likely be ignored by them. Never once have the editors or homepage elites bothered to respond to the store comments and requests. I don't believe most of them bother to look at the member feed.

I would love to support the site buy purchasing through the store. In the two years since I have been a member I've been trying to buy a tote bag and an ipad sleeve from the Ricochet store. They have never once been in stock. The store manager either needs to get some inventory or pull those items off the site. A store icon on the homepage would be helpful and would result in more sales.

Jo

I love my ipad!

They should start saving money by cutting out expensive conferences. Read this article in today's Washington Examiner -

Thank you for speaking up for birds and pointing out the hypocrisy of the Audubon Society.
