As cool as this would be, the date on the article gives away the game.

so if I object to policy because it is immoral and the source of my morality is my religious beliefs, my objection is invalid?

I'm not religious and even I don't buy that.

Morality is about right and wrong and knowing the difference.  The separation of church and state is not the same ballpark.

it would  open up a niche in the food chain for all those IRS agents and tax preparers we put out of work by replacing the income tax with a consumption tax.

the government we deserve.

these guys just posted the teaser video to their printable 30 round AK magazine ... they call it the Feinstein

Also, the obligatory Glenn Beck interview with Cody Wilson

I agree with Paul.  Start from how they made your daughter feel.  Open this up with something they would have trouble defending.  Taking it to a State-vs-Citizen level will just make you look paranoid at this point.  Diplomacy until they leave you no option.

income inequality is the same old, tired complaint.  It will only fool the economically uneducated.  Sadly, that is a big part of the population where the education is controlled by one political viewpoint.

Let Margaret Thatcher do the rebuttal on this topic.

When Great Leader makes Ministry of Information, there will only be limited positions.  All compete for prestigious role; to be given title of "Baghdad Bob" as Jay Carney enjoys today.

Where is the vengeful God when you really need him?

if I could change one thing about our current education, it would be raising the priority for Economics.   Micro-Economics, at least.  I'm not much a fan of fictional mathematics, aka Macro.

Don't those eventually end up in the Ark of the Confection?

if we are not able to rid ourselves of these unconstitutional agencies yet, rendering them impotent is the next best thing.

so the VEPR AK-style rifle would be banned, but not the VEPR AK-style shotgun?  However, Saiga AK-style shotguns are banned?

What would prevent the companies from just changing their names, the model names and then a few cosmetic features and re-listing them for sale again?

Oh, and a national registry?  <insert your favourite COC violation here>

Debate with people in your own party over single issues is healthy when kept civil and respectful.  However, when you go to war against each other, you both lose.  The party loses.  America loses.

If you really want to mix things up, go to liberal-leaning sites and pit the unions against the greens.  That is essentially what the GOP does to itself.

  • I joined the public sector?
  • I learned to stop worrying and love the debt bomb?
  • My time as a college running back left me with drain bammage?
  • I went on welfare and decided working is for suckers?
  • I married into a wealthy family who fund my every whim so I no longer have skin in the game?
  • I learned that Libertarianism isn't just about legalizing drugs?

I'm not sure that I've ever _not_ been Libertarian.  I've always felt that big government only does two things well:

  • Collect Taxes
  • Wage War

Unless that changes through a warp in space-time, where else would you go?
