Give Me Liberty: Ooooh, oooh me over here! I am a big fat #1

The whole thing is a politically concocted lie!

I do think we need to be careful here to avoid falling into the trap laid by the left and the media with statements like this.

The majority of people responding to this thread have opposed anthropological global warming and made good solid arguments for their positions.  However, " the left and the media" will call all of them deniers on the flimsiest arguments.  If you want to defeat them you can't cower about what they will say about you.  You need to expose their male bovine excrement and mock and shame them for trying to pass it off as science.  Ask yourself "What would Briebart do?"

When I agree with "I don't believe there's warming." I mean, I don't believe in the Global Warming nonsense.  Of course there is warming all of the time, and cooling.  But I am skeptical about the fear mongering coming out of those who promote the concept of  anthropological global warming.  You might say I deny what they claim to believe and oppose their misanthropic solutions.

How much energy and wealth have been misdirected from solving real problems? Wealth that now lines the pockets of the likes of Al Gore.

Peabody Here

I listened to an Adam Carolla podcast wherein he hosted Newsome plugging his new book.  I assume it was a different episode from the one you describe because Carolla was pretty polite toward Newsome in the one I heard.

Carolla was polite as an interviewer, but every politically correct argument Gavin made about the lack of fathers in the black community or chain migration was slapped back at him by Carolla with plain common sense.  By the end of the interview Adam was practically mocking him in a semi-polite jokey sort of way.

Also, about Gingrich: 1) He still seems to harbor some bitterness and came off a bit small in his shots at Romney 2) Maybe its my pessimism but a lot of what comes out of Gingrich's mouth smacks of him trying to dazzle everyone with, um...horsehockey. · 23 hours ago

Completely agree! "But he' really smart so slurp it up lesser beings."

Give Me Liberty

It is hard for me to listen to Gingrich critique the last presidential election when he had a chance to defeat Romney and he chose to go after him from the left with an anti-capitalist screed.   And Gavin Newsome is a fraud; his modernity jag is just his attempt to find his own third-way.  But he is all big government  lefty under his nice new modernity paint job.  Adam Carolla, a political rank amateur, took him apart on his podcast.

If "90 percent of Americans supported the idea" it would have been a slam dunk to pass.  And even John Boehner wishes he had more taxpayer cash on hand to buy deals as opposed to passing bills on their merits.  Does anyone else feel like we are through the looking glass?

Excuse me Dina, but since when is the leader of the National Socialist party in Germany a favorite of "right wing individuals" in the US?  Is it because a dangerous klan of kook,s once considered the terrorist wing of the Democratic Party, still admire him.

Axelrod is a spinning political hack, Sirota is a nobody bufoon, and Matthews has long ago lost his grip on reality.  Why no, one much beyond the conservative media, is making any attempt to properly shame these despicable people shows how low our society has slipped.

Nick, I completely agree with you.  Why does JN believe Obama is personally a better man?  This makes no sense; a better man would not be cable of his despicable words or deeds.

Grendel: VDH doesn't like Obama because BHO doesn't like America.

Of course he doesn't like America.  He's a Democrat, and Democrats are not American except in the narrowest legalistic sense.  How can you claim to be an American when you loathe the Constitution and despise the Declaration?  Obama, being a narcissist and not having been raised in America, just has a weaker sense of what it is politic to say. · 47 minutes ago

Hawai 'i is part of America and,  except for a brief time living in Indonesia, Obama was raised in Hawai'i.  I was raised in Hawai 'i and consider myself very American.   The distinction is that I was raised as an American, Obama was raised to hate America, and he does.

Don't call me Shirley.

Is gringo an ethnic slur?  It sure seems like it is when I have had the term directed towards me.  I am not defending the stupidity from this guy but there sure seems to be a double standard.  The most vicious racism I have heard directed at blacks has come from Hispanics.

I wonder how many of those now disabled once had, to quote John McCain, " jobs that Americans will not do."

I agree that it is bad to cut off your nose to spite your face or in this case your whole head.  However, in doing so these conservatives have carved themselves out as a voting block that will now have to be addressed.  Of course, the party could continue to ignore them while trying to appeal to Democrat constituencies and the whole country will go the way of the Whigs.

When Rob said he couldn't vote for Santorum, does he mean that he prefers Obama to a social conservative.  This is what is ripping the party apart.  Forever, Conservatives have voted for the moderate, acceptable candidates to Rob and his buddy Mike Murphy, but they will not support social conservatives.  Rob a couple years ago said conservatives will always vote for the Republican candidate, and he used McCain as his example, it seems that has now changed. Dana Gould said a while back on Carolla's podcast that his friend Mike Murphy couldn't bring himself to vote for McCain because of Palin being on the ticket.   Socially conservative principles are conservative principles, as well, and Republicans better figure that out quick or they will go the way of the Whigs.

If only Democrats were that cute when they are all grown up.

It is a perfectly good quote about education if it had been attributed to anonymous.  Unfortunately, Mao meant re-education when he made that statement.  Oh, and he was a brutal mass murder.
