Our disagreements were always focused on goals and methods--conservatives believe the government should encourage marriage and good moral living, with work-centered programs like TANF and EITC and work requirements in all welfare programs.  Lefties, on the other hand, want an end to bourgeoisie marriage, the nuclear family, and favor policies like pre-reform welfare, SNAP, section 8 housing, Medicaid, and other means-tested "entitlements."  Their ultimate goal is a hedonistic society centered around bohemian living and a minimum income. · _{1 minute ago}

But Obamadoeshave a plan for entitlement reform.  What's more, he already signed it into law.  It's called IPAB.  Obama's plan is to have an unelected, unaccountable board cut Medicare payments and services beginning in 2014. 

It's a very simple, stark choice for the voters: under the Ryan plan, current seniors see no changes, while younger folks will get a choice of plans that uses market forces to drive down costs.  Under the Obama plan, current and future retires will see their benefits cut at the whim of IPAB.
